You can find a nail cutter at most pet stores but you have to be careful not to cut into the cuticle of your dogs nails it will bleed and bleed it really does not mean a whole lot but means that you went to far to cut it. If that is the case you will have to buy a special power or ointment that you can get at the pet store or walmart or so forth. Another concern is that you dog may not like to get its nails cut. In that case you can leave them- (I would not recommend that) and they will ware down when you take your dog for walks on the cement. Do not force them to have there nails cut by you that is only making them not trust you.
Another good deal is go to your local groomer. They are the best and they will get it cut perfectly! They also might give your dog a bath!
You best bet is to go to your local groomer.
Hope this helps!

Hi Nicole! , all the answers are good , and you can find nail cutters at many different places, but please remember - please have your mom or dad , or an adult either supervise the nail trim , or do it themselves and have you watch and learn how to do it. A dogs nails need to be cut a certain way, and if you cut wrong or cut too much nail , the dog will bleed and may lose a lot of blood, which is not good.

Pretty much any pet store carries them, possibly a close by vet if they sell products. I don't know that I would recommend a 9 year old trimming a dogs nails if you've never done it before. Cut it to short and they will bleed!

Petco and Petsmart are your best bets. Be careful if your dog has dark nails, because it's more difficult to see the blood vessals and stop before you get to the quick. Be sure you only trim the nails just enough, and have some medical supplies on hand just in case.

Any local pet store or on-line probably at Petsmart.com or Petco.com. The best one I bought had a bar on the other side, so all I had to do was stick their nail through the hole to the bar and press, it was done, and I didn't cut it to short either.

any good pet store will have them in stock just ask the assistant and they will tell you where they are. Alternativly if your nervous of doing it yourself you can get your vet to do it but they will charge you for it.

Most pet stores have them. You could also order one through http://www.drsfostersmith.com . Of course, since you haven't got a credit card or anything, you'd have to get your parents to order/buy it.
