I saw a police officer in Dunkin' Donuts, and it struck me as being a little weird... because if I were a police officer then I would never eat doughnuts because everyone would expect me to.

Does anyone see where I am coming from?

They do not avoid doughnuts, the sterotype was created becouse DD was a 24 hour place and they could get a quick bite and some free coffee in the middle of the night. They do enjoy them.

i should be actual in some small, sleepy cities yet at the same time as i became an adolescent I had my first motor vehicle for 2 days- a stick shift and an fairly VERY comfortable snatch. i became stopped at a mild and at the same time as i attempted to bypass back, the vehicle saved stalling.... After about 5 minutes of attempting, i imagine I flooded the engine or some thing.. and precise there next to me turned right into a doughnut save- AND there have been about 4-5 cop automobiles there on the doughnut save. because i became preserving up site visitors, between the law enforcement officials got here out and pushed my motor vehicle into the parking zone. (yet THIS became two decades in the past!) even if, i comprehend some law enforcement officials now and they are like triathalon competition and such.... freaky fit i imagine that (a million) law enforcement officials DID draw close out plenty at doughnut places decrease back contained in the day at the same time as no longer some thing else became open at evening... yet now there are a number of more effective 24 hour places and in no way too many doughnut shops anymore and (2) the police now might want to be more effective fit and bypass by universal education classes for the time of their occupation- no longer to prepare all the pastime cuts and the transformations in society.

theaterhangz is right , the only place that is open 24 hours a day or open at 4:00 am is the donut shop or convenience stores.
Cops need a break and coffee too.

I know if I worked in a all night store, I would welcome the cops in and out of the place---there are too many people out there who wouldn't think twice about robbing a store and putting a bullet in you.

You think that would be the case. But, when I worked in a convenience store I used to give the cops free donuts. I hate cops but it did make sure that there was always one cop in my store's neighborhood.

I used to see police cars parked in front of shipleys every morning. I think they gave free coffee to police officers in the area.
