ok well im not gonna sit here and tell you what you should and shouldnt do, however i will give you my opinion on your situation.
you are 15 and shouldnt have been having unprotected sex in the first place and if you are pregnant than yes eveyone is right you have ruined your life. he is 18 and therefore mom can and probably will send him to jail no more of a reason than to let you know she means business with you.
you are a baby yourself even if you are 15, because you have no idea what life is and if you think that this guy is gonna hang around you are completely wrong.
i think on one hand you should tell your mom the truth and on the other you shouldnt.
you should because this is possibly her grandchild and therefore she needs to know as soon as possible. also you should never lie to your parents because you will more than likely end up in a terrible relationship with them.
the only reason that i say you shouldnt is because it will cause a whole bunch of drama and i dont think you can handle that nor do i think you can handle the responsibilities of raising a child.
this is why people like you make me sick in a way because there are people like me that cannot have kids and then people like you get preganant and the child is deemed an accident.
my advice to you is to sit and talk to your mom and let her know what is going on. if he ends up in jail then thats the price you will have to pay. he will get out eventually. trust me my husband has been in and out of jail a few times for stupid things but we are still together and a lot older than you are.
talk to your mom and she gives you an ultimatum of him in jail or you not seeing each other till you are 18 and legally an adult take the not seeing him till you are 18 because he is obviously not a rapist as the two of you had sex consintually so therefore it would be wrong to see him in jail for a crime he didnt do.
anyways good luck

First you should know yes your boyfriend can go to jail for statutory rape-you are 15 (a child) he is 18 (legally an adult)
I am a young mom and I have 2 teenagers, you need to tell your mom as soon as possible so you can figure out what would be the best solution for your situation. If you try to ignore what is going on it will not go away-- You have not been acting very responsible, obviously, now you are faced with making grown up decisions as a child. Do the right thing and talk to your mom, if you are too scared get someone else involved who you feel more comfortable with and have them come with you or speak to your mom first--such as an aunt or one of your friend's mom's.You can also get help at a Planned Parenthood or a place for pregnant teens. You made some bad decisions, do not let your unborn child suffer because of them. You have choices, you are young and have a long life ahead of you. Be responsible, it will be hard, but it is the right thing to do!

Oh yes, if she's the type to do it and not just say it for effect you are under age. Your mom could charge him because you are a minor. Now that you are pregnant it might make matters worse, I'm not sure what type of a person your mom is. I hope this goes ok for everyone, and that you will get the help you need, unfortunately there is a small innocent child involved now. Please hear me when I say how important it is to have protected sex. Not just because of pregnancy, but because there are diseases that you can contract that there are NO cures for, that will end you life before you've even had a chance to start it. Take care.

It depends on your state. Every state has a different AOC (age of consent) law. AOC is the age you can legally consent to sex. It's 16 in most states. In some states, it's as law as 14. In other states, it's 18. Under AOC laws, you can also only consent to sex with someome no more than 5 years older than you are, in most cases. Check your state laws.
Tell your mom you're pregnant. You need prenatal care. The sooner you start receiving this care, the healthier you and your baby will be. If you don't have insurance and need help with medical coverage and prescriptions, go to your local Department of Social Services (DSS) and apply for Medicaid. You can apply for WIC as well at your local DSS. Good luck. Please use protection next time. You can decide what is the best method for you with your OB/GYN's helpful guidance after your delivery. They usually wait until you're 6 weeks postpartum, so that your body has time to heal before resuming sex. Safe sex is best. You're life is about to change. Enjoy your pregnancy. That's the easy part. :)

Yep, she can as you are under the age of consent and by law cannot have sex legally with anyone. Now that you are pregnant, they have inconclusive proof by DNA testing if necessary that he had sex with you while underage.
Even if your mom doesn't press charges, the state can and often does. It falls under the ruling of statutory rape (even though consensual but you are not of the age of consent).
Even worse, your b/f, if prosecuted may not only go to jail but also have to sign the National Registry for Sex Offenders and list where he moves for the rest of his life. He will always have a felony on his record which will prevent him from voting and many jobs. He will be mandated to provide child support until the baby is 18.
I hate to say it but you should have listened to your Mom. I would apologize and plead with your Mom and hope that it is not reported by anyone else. Good luck.

She could turn him in, but I don't think they'd force you to do a test to see if he's the dad or not. Just make sure he's not on the birth certificate. I have a friend who's going through the same thing. I don't think you should tell your mom for a while. Unless you didn't have sex after your mom said not to. Then just tell her you got pregnant before she told you not to have sex anymore and that you could really use her support. Tell her that your baby needs a daddy.

Yes- your mother can take legal action against him if she chooses to do so. I work for a district court office and we unfortunately see this all the time. Now I am not saying that he will go to jail, but I am saying that he can get in big trouble and he could be forced to register as a child sex offender.
Please, please, please. Think about what you are doing, and are about to go through. If you are truly pregnant.....you have just ended your whole childhood. Honey, you are only 15.....do you really think that you are going to understand the responsibilities of a newborn? Unfortunately, you don't have a choice now and your mother is only trying to protect you from what she knows could happen.
As far as what to tell your mother, you have no choice but to be forward and honest. She is your mom and she will love you no matter what. But as for him....this may infuriate her and I wouldn't look to her wanting to reconcile with him.
Good luck and I hope that everything works out for you in the end.

i would wait until you were 16 to tell your mom, most states legal consent age is 16....you might want to do research on that though. I would go to a doctor and make sure you are deffinately pregnant!...before getting all scared and everything, and before telling your mom. When you do finally tell your mom, sit her down and explain to her that you made a mistake and need her help, i got pregnant young, so i know what you are going through...its hard but in the end it'll help you out...GOOD LUCK!

Yes she can, but if she does, that can only mean 2 things:
1. she doesnt care for you
2. she still thinks you are a child INCAPABLE of thinking on her own.
Sometimes one must wonder if age doesn't really matter when it comes to love. Because the way I see it, society is doing everything, even putting up laws, to arrest any man who decides to love a girl that is much younger than him. It's a pity that many people can't really think on their own and must follow the laws outright even if the law is not completely correct and understandable.
Have you ever wondered why the police or the mass society for that matter are MORE concerned of pressing statutory rape charges against a man in love with a younger woman, than executing druglords and other criminals (e.g. murderers, bank thieves) that are more dangerous to the public?

Your mother can't put him in jail, but, depending on the laws of your state, the authorities may be able to. And if your mother presses, and it's illegal where you are, they probably will at least arrest him.
Before talking to your mom, go to a Planned Parenthood or some other center and talk to someone who knows (NOT your friends, a professional.) You have time to make your decisions. Get more information and you'll make better decisions.
