I was there last year and I can tell you that,I hope, you'll have a great trip.Start from Cagliari(the capital),where I suggest hotel Calamosca sul Mare(ask for a room with wiew over the sea-it's gorgeous),stay here 2-3 days because you have a lot to see.Than, from the main station of the city(trains and bus too),take a bus and do a wonderful trip from the south of the island to the north. It's up to you where you want to stop because there are many nice cities all along this road.

I have traveled there before. It is a unique nation. Beautiful, rocky beaches, unique fruit (nespola), and very thin, flat bread served with olive oil. It's cultural identity is different than that of mainland Italy, and they are proud of their heritage. It's lovely.
