Never. Don't even entertain the thought.

As a smoker who is desperately trying to quit (yet again for the umpteenth time at the age of 50), smoking is an unnecessary and dangerous addiction. I WISH I had grown up in a smoke free household, but I didn't, but if I did I would never have started this addictive battle. I wish my parents had not encouraged me to smoke by virtue of their own actions. They puffed and puffed away, as did my aunts and uncles, since I was small. Despite the fact that my mother died at the age of 52 when I was 19 years old and my dad died from heart disease at 66 when I was 24, I am still transfixed by the addiction. I KNOW I am screwing up my health, but the addictive components of nicotine call to me, so to avoid your daughter becoming like someone like me, don't get her started. You will save her life.

There is no good age. Smoking is not good for anyone, it is expensive, it gives you bad breath and wrinkles. It can kill you.
If you smoke it is still not a reason to let your child do it. Who would pay for the smokes? Dont do it...be a good parent. It may not seem important now but when your child is older she will appreciate it. Figfure out what a pack costs times 52 weeks. That is a lot of money. Expalin this to your kid. And other reasons. I can not believe that you would consider harming your childs health this way.

are you serious? I don't think you are.. Don't buy her any.. Don't ever tell her it is a good thing to smoke. She can do what she wants whenever the 'state says' (l8 in some states, 2l in others.) You might look those rules up, but never condone smoking, o.k.?(and if YOU smoke.. I bet you do, right? Throw them away!) Look at some of these people in the hospital in the cancer wards, dragging oxygen tanks around and you might be influenced. Kicking the habit's hard.. (I read once it's like getting off cocaine.. but lol.. that sounds a bit egg'at'd. doesn't it?) ha.. g'luck

While I'm personally against smoking, there's no law against it and I'm not about to preach morality to you for your daughter's sake.

Be sure that she has physically stopped growing. If you let her smoke too early on, her growth might be stunted. (Make sure she knows this!) Also, make sure that she is the one deciding whether or not she wants to smoke AND that she's aware of all the harmful chemicals and potential diseases that come with smoking of any kind. Be safe, and love your daughter :)

Never. In fact, do her a favor and don't smoke in front of her. Would you hold a loaded gun to her head? It amounts to the same thing. Also, if she really wants to smoke that badly, let her wait until she's 18 when she can buy them herself. That way she's digging her own grave.

i'm sorry, but what kind of parent are you?

do you fully realize the consequences? your daughter will age faster--dull skin, yellowed and dull hair, yellow nails, yellow teeth. she will smell horrible. smoking increases the risk of COPD, lung/throat cancer. also, she would cause problems for other people with allergies and asthma.

you should have just fed her rat poison from the very beginning if you're going to buy her cigarettes.

if you love your daughter, never. cigarettes are horrible to someones health. just imagine if sumthing happened to her cigarette related, you would be the one who let her start smoking in the first place. the best answer for this question is never, unless you dont care for her health anymore.
