Im in a long distance relationship and the chemistry between us is awesome. However, being from a strict background, she can't get over the fact that i've been married before. That combined with the distance between us is making her want to give up. Should I try to fight it or let it go? do you think she could ever be get over something like that?

The fact that that issue such a major problem for her, is probably an indicator that other issues will come up. She would have to make a major world-view shift in order to make it work.. If at this point she is giving up, I wouldn't say that was a good sign either.
