maybe they are a specail few that can see things normal people cant and thats why they talk to themselves. when you see mediums talking to ghosts are they crazy? nope you find them amazing.

Having been crazy the greater part of my life I have often wondered along the same lines. Anyhow, as far as I can tell, no one knows that anybody is crazy. What is abnormal behaviour in some is explained by a theory. Or allow that there are many, many theories and some agreement. So what we know then has moved from speculation to consensus (of speculation).
There have been people in the profession who have written about how like the witch doctor the medical model for illnesses of the mind are.
A word about talking to oneself, that is normal and many people do it. What you are confusing is "hearing voices" which is a symptom of schizophrenia. And about as far as I can tell it is a litmus for what goes on in the mind of a schizophrenic. Ah! the dangers there in so threatening that such a person must be locked away from his society for the sake of its safety and his own.
I have seen all that and I can tell you that under stress the mind is a delicate ... what? (I also believe that you cannot isolate one mind from another.) But, yep, stress me out and I forget things I misplace things. I confuse things and on and on.
The real problem with mental illness is that it takes away your entire life with whatever chances you may have had for happiness. You cannot get a decent job again. Cannot marry and have a family. And so many other things. And, that problem is not in my mind but with the stigma of mental illness.

lol its true. I don't know how anyone knows a person is crazy or not. But some people just know if a person is crazy. Maybe its the way they act or something. But never know if a person is really crazy or not. Have a good day. Bye.

I do think it's pathetic when a person'v obviously crazy, and the person has no idea......sad......
