i weigh 145 and want 2 lose 30-40 pounds by november.i am very athletic but can't seem 2 lose weight. help!!!

It's possible. Weight loss of 1 lb a week will get at lease 30 off by early December. Kick it up to 2 lbs a week and you'll be at least 40 by November. If you're athletic and the weights not coming off, you probably need to cut about 500 calories a day. Since 3,500 calories = 1 lb, you will lose 1 lb a week. If you do this and work out a little more, it will be easy to lose 2 lbs a week. Whatever happens good luck and just tell yourself failure is not an option.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

I went from 225 down to 175 in a few months. I believe that one can lose 5 pounds a week easily with limited fatty foods and with exercise. I believe your goal is possible, although I'm not an expert, if you discipline yourself!

you again. Hiiiii, serious, a 20 minute jog or run 4 times a week. You want to work out on your stomach and your butt because they are not supported by a bone so more fat or flesh is at those places. I suggest joggong, your soccer playing, and sit ups, crunches, and maybe go to an aerobics class. Hope that helps

Well, it is only safe to lose about 2 pounds every week. So, if you plan on doing this safely, I would say you could do it by about November.

They say the "healthy way" to lose weight is a pound or two a week. Given you aren't extremely overweight, I would guess you should estimate about that.
