There's millions of reasons. It's usually from hurting your body with pollutants that it can't handle in excess, like smoking and drinking. Excess drinking can poison the liver and cause it to shrivel up, and then it doesn't cleanse your blood as well as it should and you get extremely sick because bodily waste stays in your blood. Same goes for excess cigarette and cigar smoke (not pot smoke though, not that it's a good thing in itself). It leaves tar in your lungs so eventually it doesn't oxegenate your blood well enough. There's also tons of other reasons, like UV rays from the sun, radiation, etc...

It can be an extremely painful and upsetting experience for you and your loved ones. So please take care of yourself while you still can!!!!!

Someone once told me if you don't want to catch cancer, don't eat the food, don't drink the water and don't go out in the sun. You know as well as I do that is just not possible. The best advice I can give is to not drink alcohol, don't smoke, exercise, take vitamins, wear sunscreen and keep up with your doctor's appointments heck there are even some STDs that can cause certain kinds of cancer so use protection all you can do is live as healthily as possible, but sometimes a person's genes will trump a healthy lifestyle. Warren told you. Seem a rather simple answer but that is what cancer is. What causes this is so varied that it would take a long time to tell you. Some defects are inherited and can turn to cancer. Chemicals in your environment are a factor. Smoking is another. Drinking alcohol is another. The list goes on and on. Some people are more prone to get cancer than others......Read and learn.

Bodies are living organing forms that are a vessle for a spirit to reside in and work with while in life. Bodies vibrate at a frequency which is induced during conception and fetal growth towrds birth. The Earth also vibrate at a frequecnu which the new life at birth enters onto and lives towards death. The internal organs in a body are also alive and have perosnalities of their own which if they are happy, you are happy and your body health is high. Become sad and with low self esteam , those organs feel sad which they don't like feeling. The sadness upsets the body frequency and when it is out of phase, cells start to grow on an organ to help it, however, with the lowering body frequency, the cells continue to grow into a Turma which feeds on the organ and in feeding, it grows and expands to other organ. Body will set up an energy trail that will attract the ceel growth to certain parts of the body. Foods that are not what body wants are left to set up local area frequency upsets which become a cancer in the stomach. Body not wanting the food is unable to pass it on as waste because the lower track to the bowl dosn't want it and having been accepted by body through the mouth, is a part of body, but unable to get rid of it, it becomes a living growth with body and by the time brain realises something is wrong, it has taken control and is destroying the body Eventually, the frequeancy is upset and lowered to a point that the energy that controls life in unable to sustain the life connection and body dies. Cancer is caused by the abnormal mitotic reproduction of cells. Cells divide at an amizing rate. However, when this process is altered in some way, it can cause the cells to not copy themselves as they should, thus causing cancer.

In order to help you understand, picture a person taking a sun bath. There are cells in our body, called melanin cells that focus on producing protein melanin pigment which furthermore captures harmful sun rays and protects the nucleus of the cell. But when a person is exposed to the sun for prolonged amounts of time, then what they are doing is causing for these cells to reproduce at an even faster rate than their normal rate. Notice how the reproduction process has been altered? Well it is exactly this that causes the cells to not be able to make an identical copy of themselves thus causing cancer.

You see, if this happens, now there is a cell in the body that isn't in accordance to the DNA arrangement. DNA in some form tells the cell how to behave and when the DNA is messed up in a cell, it will continue to reproduce this way. So at one point, the abnormal cell is no big deal, but it is the daughter cells and accumulation of these that cause cancer to spread. First it starts in one place, something small, but as that one messed up cell reproduces itself by copying itself along with its abnormalities then it spreads.

There are many reasons why cells are altered to reproduce this way, among them as already mentioned are prolonged periods of exposure to the sun. Chemicals and pretty much anythihng that alters cell division.

Its like you when you are doing homework. What causes one to get an F? Well there are many factors to this, poor concentration, not enough time to study, inadecuate studying habits etc.

Many factors, one result. Many ways to get cancer, but in the end, thats exactly what it is due to the abnormal reproduction of a cell.

I heard on a health CD that sun screen causes cancer, I mean, think about it, did we have more cancer back before sun screen, or after sun screen was invented? Sun screen has chemicals in it that aren't good for your skin, so do a lot of scented sprays. People say it is the sun, but I'm not so sure. I'm not really sure how cancer actually starts, that's a good one...

it starts with flawed cell multiplication, and the body's inability to recognize these flawed cells to terminate it. so it multiplies and multiplies and forms a tumor.

there are no "reasons" for it. it just happens. it can be because its genetic (which pretty much makes it "bound to happen") and other enviromental, food, hypothesized causes. there are too many things around our lives. its hard to pin point exactly what causes cancer (other than 2nd hand smoking.. and a few others) like i said, if its genetic (a number of people in the family-that're blood related) that'd make the other people in the family more suseptible to cancer.. they might be carriers of the "onco-gene"

Cancer is a pernicious somatic disease due to growth disorder in cells.

It starts when an apparently normal cell begins to grow in an uncontrolled and invasive way (non-stop cell division that only die when the body in which they reside in dies). This occurs because of mutation of DNA genes encoding proteins of cell-division cycle, causing the damaged genes to not properly control cell propagation.

This results in a tumor (cluster of cells constantly expanding in size.)

Cancer spreads throughout the body because of metastases, which are cancer cells leaving the tumor and spreading the cells all over the body, forming new tumors at distant sites.

What causes cancer is the exposure to what is called carcinogens, which are harmful material that can cause the above phenomenon to occur. Smoking, for instance is an example. Cigarette smoke places mutagens into direct contact with the tissues of the lungs, mutagens in the lungs cause cancer because of considerable damage to the genes of the epithelial cells that line the lungs.
