When God spoke to Moses, He called himself "I Am", meaning the one the exist without a creator. In the Hebrew that would have been written as "YHWH". (The Hebrew did not write vowels in their words). Would have been prononce "Yahwah"

As a sign of respect for God, the Jews never spoke his name. Instead, they subsititued the name "The Lord" whenever they came to YHWH. Most Bible still use "the LORD" (all in caps) when YHWH appears in the original text. Over time, as vowels were added to the Jewish language, they added the vowels for "The Lord" into the letters YHWH, creating the word Jehovah (as it is translated into English).

When Jesus was on earth, he referred to himself several times as being "I Am", claiming the name of God for himself.

In Hebrew it is Yahweh. It is symbolized by 4 Hebrew Letters called the Tetragrammaton, and it appears in the original Bible texts over 7,000 times. No one knows exactly how the Tetragramatton was pronounced because the ancient Hebrew didn't have any vowel points and thus had to be passed down from generation to generation.

Each language of the world has its own spelling and way to say Jehovah. In a lot of countries, the name appears on their coins even today.

Modern Hebrew DOES have vowel points and can easily be pronounced correctly by any person who knows Hebrew. In most modern Bibles, it has been removed and replaced with LORD. They also call Jesus Lord which is why people get confused over which one is God. You can read, in the Bible where God is talking to Jesus in Psalms 110:1 where it says in the King James Version. The LORD saith unto my Lord; notice the all capitals for God and the capital L only for Jesus.

God's name in English is Jehovah, and it is found in the King James Bible at Exodus 6:3 Psalms 83:18 and two other places. In the King James Bible, it reads "Know that thou whose name art Jehovah, thou art the most high over all the earth. If you look at the New World Translation Of The Holy Scriptures Bible, God's name has been put back the over 7,000 times it was removed due to superstition about saying God's name.

God is not the name of God. Lord is not the name of God. YHWH is what we are left with after the Jews erased it from the Bible. Some believe it is Jehovah. Others believe it is Yahweh. In Exodus 3, Moses teaches us that YHWH is God's Name forever.

It's been given as various derivatives of "Jehovah", such as Yaweh, Jah or the supposedly unpronounceable "IHVH". In the movie "Pi", (a fine motion picture incidentally,) it was mentioned that the true name of God is 216 letters long. What exactly that 216 letter name is, however, has been lost to antiquity.

Jealous.

You can find it in Exodus 34:14 (KJV), posted here:

14: For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: ...

Jehovah/Yahweh is the Jewish name of God. Jehovah is the English transliteration of Hebrew, while Yahweh is actually Hebrew.

Who do you call upon in your darkest hour, your time of greatest need? Who do you beg for mercy when your whole world is falling apart? Who do you thank when everything is all right again? That name your heart calls out, is God's name.

Um, I think you have to ask a burning bush or something. The Bible says (allegedly) that we can't know his name or see his face or we will croak, but then it says that some people did one or the other and survived, So you had better just ask the next burning bush you see.
