Just curious why it was never fixed and do you find it symbolic that it is not?

I have a favorite book given to me by a mentor. My 21 year old drew on inside cover when he was 2. I was mad at the time, but now it is an endearing memory.

The same goes for the liberty bell. It is an endearing memory of the first time it was rung when it cracked.

It obviously cracked while being rung but The Liberty Bell Museum says there is a 29 year period that it could have been cracked. No one knows when - the most common story is that is cracked during the Supreme Court Justice John Marshall's funeral. It is not repaired for fear of damaging it further.

It can be fixed by soundweld inc in England but they too silly and stuborn to have it repaired. Soundweld has fixed bells far worse than our liberty bell.
