Yes - a truck is high enough that it is alright, and especially since the air bag is turned off. As long as your baby is already in a forward facing car seat, which means that they are at least 1 year old and 20lbs. If they aren't a year & 20lbs, then they have to be rear-facing, but can still be in the front seat of a truck with the airbag turned off. My husband did it with our twins in their infant bucket seats, I hated it but he had a good point. Our truck would not be the car hurt if it got in an accident, the girls were up so high they probably were better protected then in our little car.

The child must be 20 pounds and at least a year old. The airbag must be disabled and no other seat available.

If the child is under a year old, no. But otherwise, sure. As long as they are able to sit front facing that should be fine.

My daughter loves riding in the truck whenever we fire it up to go to the dump or haul something home. Otherwise its the back seat for her.

yes if the child is of that age to be legally facing forwards (check lawbooks, i'm certain it's state-dependent law); else reverse that carseat pronto.
