Great question!
Yes, missing Sunday Mass constitutes grave matter.
To be a Mortal or Grave Sin you need three things (ALL 3)
1) Grave Matter--check
2) Knowledge that what you are doing constitutes Grave Matter-now it's a check :) (be reminded you are supposed to ask if you don't know and inform your conscience, you just can't not ask questions ever)
3) Full consent of the will -- if you just decide to miss for no good reason then check, if you're sick or you need to run your Grandmother to the Hospital or you are too far away from a Church, etc. then no check
To see where it says that missing Mass constitutes grave matter we have a number of sources.
Third Commandment: (Exodus 20:8-11)--the text is above but they say it proves the opposite?? Don't think so.
Deut 5:12 Observe the day of the sabbath, to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.
Catechism of the Catholic Church: Paragraph 2181--this very specifically has a statement that says that missing Mass constitutes Grave matter
Code of Canon Law 1246 and 1247
Also see paragraph 453 of the "Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church"--this is not on the web but it's great to get--it's a Q&A format

No Sin at all for Jesus is the lord of the Sabbath and after Jesus died the apostles also keep the seventh day Saturday.
Mt 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
Ac 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

Not a sin if you don't go, but it is a sin if you do go.
Exo 20:8-11
(8) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
(9) Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
(10) But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
(11) For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

No it's not. I haven't been to church for the past three years but I have confidence to say that I have a strong relationship with God.
Besides, if you cant come to church, then do what you do in church:
1. Listen to readings = read the bible yourself
2. Pray along with the people = pray by yourself

There are many that will be in church tomorrow and act like fools Monday - Saturday. It is not a grave sin. Ensure that you find your own time to give thanks. You can call God in other places besides church.
