John 3:5 Does water mean when a woman is in labor and her water breaks or does it mean baptism?

I’m not sure what common sense has to do with any thing Biblical or spiritual; and though I posses little, if any, of this valued commodity you prize so highly, I will still give you my understanding on the verse.
It speaks of the contrast between natural man and spiritual man. Both must be birthed. So Messiah speaks of the water of the mothers womb which we must all pass to gain entry into life and contrasts it with the birthing process we go through to gain life into the spiritual realm. It has nothing to do with water baptism. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh", in other words, not spiritual in any sense, but rather carnal, worldly, fleshly, as is our natural birth from our mothers‘ womb; but "that which is born from above by the spirit is spiritual," heavenly, Godly. The verse also proves, by process of elimination, that angels, demons, extraterrestrial beings or other created beings not born of the womb of woman cannot be candidates for the new spiritual birth offered by the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. And, of course, not all those born of woman will enter the Kingdom of God, but only those born anew by the Spirit. In other words, you need both. Lastly, had Christ not entered into the world fulfilling both these requirements He would not have been qualified to be the Savior of men. He was born of woman, thru the birth waters of Mary, but also from above with the Spirit being His parent in the impregnating of the young virgin maid.

Baptism... But it is not necessary to be dunked in water to be saved. I was saved for more than a year ( yes, I absolutly know this for a fact) before I was baptised in the water. I offer my testimony to any interested who would like to email me. I will send the address of my website where I have posted my testimony and other God stuff.

Acts 19:5,6 ...they got baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid his hands upon them, the holy spirit came upon them,...

So baptism in water is first, then baptism in holy spirit. (usually)

However when the Gentiles first heard the word, God baptized them in holy spirit before they had water baptism, so the Apostles could know for a certainty it was time for the Gentiles to also become Christians. (Acts 10:44-48,11:18)

Read Peter's commentary on this my good friend:

1Pe 3:21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Many people (specially Catholics) cannot understand this. Jesus saves period, not water.

Reading on in that chapter

22After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized. 23Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of WATER, and people were constantly coming to be baptized.

One OT scripture refers to this

Ezekiel 36
25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

If anything baptism should be "sprinkle" Ezekiel 36:25
Plenty of water, H20

Our universe "outer space" is a fluid. At creation, the spirit of God moved "over the deep", that is, the deep fluid of outer space in our universe. We are all born of water in this universe. Ask a scientist about "waves in space". Outer space exhibits certain fluid dynamics.

Jhn 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

It is speaking of being baptised. Baptism is being buried in the water not sprinkled.
