Before I went out with this guy, he took my breath away. I literally could not breathe. I had to hold on to a desk so I wouldn't fall. It was so weird.

Actually what you are experiencing is your brain recognizing all the things in one individual that you brain actually likes and it is trying to get your attention....it could be one of many things or many things altogether...nature wants you to go forth and multiply and this is natures way of telling you to recognize the things that are compatible, so to speak, with you...unfortunately these types of reactions are left over from the "Cave man Era" so to speak..they are short lived but definitely an asset to the recipient...could be the eyes....appearance....body language ,sound of the persons voice or just the way they respond to your actions....have fun with it...it is a great feeling...just done think of it as the almighty identification of your future...but just one of the ways to recognize compatibility, over the short term.

It means the soul's existence depends on spirit or breath. If you're not breathing it, you're a dead soul. When your brain is deprived of oxygen, the mind (the soul's core) slowly turns off and you might hallucinate and when revived you'll think you went somewhere. To really go somewhere, Christ must come and resurrect us. Angels can also can often take the form humans or can show visions of real humans and demons can tamper with them to make the characters seem to interact with the physical world. Thus the origin of ghosts and doppelgangers. The soul was translated from the words nephesh and psuche which both refer to self, the person, the mind, the body, etc. The spirit is translated from words like neshama (breath), ruach (spirit), and pneuma (breath). The soul (the person) needs the spirit of life (or breath) to live.

To actually have your "breath taken away" or your "heart skip a beat", is a triggered reaction impulse that sends your brain a message. In turn your brain reacts to the impulse like a induced seizure, affecting the heart to race rapid, causing one to become breathless, or their heart to race profoundly, or their ears feel hot, or pricklie sensations flowing through out their body, or the hair on your arms or neck to stand up and the list goes on and on.
