what does the Quran or other eastern religions teach in how you can go to heaven? Is it by good actions and a peaceful life? If so, then do you think that mere human achievement isn't good enough to reconcile our fallen state? Don't you think that it requires an act of God to save humanity such as by sending his son to die for our sins In order for the savior to be infinitely greater than the sinner? Just my thought.

NO ONE ON THIS EARTH IS GUARANTEED TO GO TO HEAVEN JUST BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST!

I can only pray that Jesus judges me worthy...

I know that I can only get to heaven through Jesus. Also, it is not just by this faith in Jesus, nor just the Grace of God, nor just the works that I do. It is a combination of many things.

We receive God's saving and sanctifying grace in many ways, and Christ Himself, into our souls when we are baptized. Yet they also know that Christ Himself has established certain conditions for entry into eternal happiness in Heaven.

"Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever."" (John 6:53-58)

We will be judged by this as well, so be warned...

"Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself." (1 Cor. 11:27-29).

We will also be judged by our faith, but not by this alone, we will also be judged by the works that we do (Justification by faith alone is a Protestant doctrine; it was unheard of in the Christian community before the sixteenth century.)...

If St. Paul meant that faith ruled out the necessity of good works for salvation, he would not have written:

". . . and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing." (1 Cor. 13:2).

If faith ruled out the necessity of good works for salvation, the Apostle James would not have written:

"Do you see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only'? . . . For even as the body without the spirit is dead; so also faith without works is dead." (James 2:24-26).

If faith ruled out the necessity of good works for salvation, the Apostle Peter would not have written:

"Therefore, brothers, be all the more eager to make your call and election firm, for, in doing so, you will never stumble. For, in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you." (2 Peter 1:10-11).

If faith was the only necessity for salvation, the Apostle James would not have written:

"If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, his religion is vain. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world." (James 1:26-27)

Christ Himself stated:

"For the Son of man . . . will render to every man according to his works." (Matt. 16:27).

"‘Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven’" (Matt. 7:21).

I need my faith also...

"Who were those who rebelled when they heard? Was it not all those who came out of Egypt under Moses? With whom was he "provoked for forty years"? Was it not those who had sinned, whose corpses fell in the desert? And to whom did he "swear that they should not enter into his rest," if not to those who were disobedient? And we see that they could not enter for lack of faith."(Hebrews 3:16-19)

When I die, I will not enter the kingdom of Heaven immediately, either...

The Bible distinguishes between those who enter Heaven straightaway, calling them "the church of the firstborn" (Heb. 12:23), and those who enter after having undergone a purgation, calling them "the spirits of the just made perfect." (Heb. 12:23).

Christ Himself stated:

"Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court with him. Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison. Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny." (Matt. 5 :26).

And:

"I tell you, on the day of judgment people will render an account for every careless word they speak. By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned." (Matt. 12:36-37).

Your question reveals much. We are not in a fallen state, heaven is a vision held out to the poor and weak. It is culturally specific. The Viking heaven is hot and bright, They lived in ice and snow. The middle east created a heaven with water, a garden of eden. Think about it. Australian Aborigines created the dreamtime, a place just like here only better. Therefore if you wish to taste heaven on earth come to Austalia!!! How could anyone, son of god or otherwise, remove from us the personal responsibility we have for our own actions? We can achieve paradise on earth. We just have to take responsibility for our own actions.

Eastern Religions typically believe in karma. And the more good karma you have the sooner you can be with their god (that does not exist)

Buddhists obtain nirvana (going to Heaven) with elightenment. Its complicated to explain this though.

As for Islam. They have a scale. All you have to do is do more good than evil in your life to go to the Islamic Heaven (which also does not exist)

And if doing more good deed is too difficult then die in Jihad.

God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, and by accepting Jesus as our savior is how we get to heaven. John 3:16 says, for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life. Its not by doing good works, but accepting, believing, and living your life according to how God wants us to, & by going to church to learn more about Him, and having fellowship with other believers...

As far as I know The Christian Faith is the only one that dose not require a work or works to get into Heaven. All Religions do in one way or another. Christian teaching says works can save no one.

You are close in your understanding. If youare interested in seeking more about the Christian Faith you can email me. this forum is not the place to go into it in any detail.
All seekers are welcome

The ticket (token) to heaven in every Pauline epistle including Hebrews and Revelation is Grace with you all. Amen. And the "you all" thereof "the end" we're told to endure unto begins with "you", "made perfect by the God of all grace" after ye (do err) suffer awhile; "you", in which all "the kingdom of God" is located.

Indeed, as someone said, peace with God and eternal salvation are "THROUGH Jesus->Christ", which is to say through law to grace, or through sacrifice to mercy, or through division to peace. For when comparing Jesus and Christ of Jesus Christ:

Jesus: was born under the law, and of woman
(ye are not under the law, but under grace)
Christ: is the end of the law, and of transgression
(where no law, there is no transgression)

Jesus: "division" and not peace: Mt 10:34; Lk 12: 51
(mark and avoid them which cause division: Rom 16:17)
Christ: "peace" and not division: Jn 14:27; Eph 2:14
(he is our peace, who hath abolished the law)

As for the "sacrifice" thing, the Bible teaches God never desired nor ever took pleasure in sacrifice for sin, which is by the law and of the law. The will of God is: I will have mercy, and not sacrifice (Ps 40:6; Ps 51:16; Hos 6:6; Mt 9:13; Mt 12:7; Heb 10: all); and receiving the promise comes after doing the will of God. Hence it says in Heb 11: these all died and received not the promise, since they did not do the will of God.

So, perhaps it is time the whole issue of sacrifice in all religions be raised to the level of conscience and expelled as being not only antichrist, but anti-God's will; And again I say: receiving the promise (eternal life) comes after doing the will of God.

We don't go to heaven as much as we grow to heaven, by "grow in grace" to the point of "the full stature of the measure of Christ": "the end of the law", to the point of blotting out what's against us, to the point of what's old, faulty, and ready to vanish: Heb 8:13, "shall vanish": 1Cor 13:8... to the point there is no mention of law at all in the end that is already written:

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Well, every religion will give you a different view, but they all basically say that you must help your fellow humans and make other peoples lives better in order to get in. Basically.

the Quran teach us that if we follow what God has tell us what we should do and what we shouldn't, then we deserve to go to heaven..of course good actions are important..any people from any religion can go to heaven if they did something that pleases God..eventhough if it's the smallest thing that he/she did,if it pleases God,then there will be reward for him/her in the afterlife..
if u want heaven, then u should work hard for it..

"Believe in the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved"
i agree 100%. we cannot possible earn our way to heaven. i am a total goody-two-shoes, but i screw up like everyother minute! there is no way that a sinful person can satisfy the demands of a holy God, which is perfection. the only way we can get to heaven is to be completely covered (not literally...) in the perfect and sinless blood of Jesus, God Himself.
