Better read the whole book!'
Even Jesus with all his compassion called out sin and wrong doing.
God has rules-like it or not.

I have friends that are gay, and I don't agree with their lifestyle, but they are still my friends. If you want to chapter and verse look it up yourself. Look up homosexuality in the concordance. It is in the back of the Bible. It might do you some good. The Bible also speaks out against those that commit adultery and fornication and even liars. Gays are not the only people singled out. You don't see adultery pride marches, fornicator's pride marches, or liar's pride marches. It may be that radical homosexuals are the ones calling attention to the homosexuality issue more than the Christians are.
By the way it is attitude not additudes unless you were trying to make a play on words. Meaning people added to it.

right that's my opinion, in keeping with evaluating Scripture with Scripture and additionally from analyzing countless books on the subject. a million, Paul wrote a million Thessalonians truly early, probable 5-10 years formerly the Corinthian letters. In a million Thessalonians, the context of financial ruin 4 is the believing ineffective whose bodies "slept" interior the floor. What Paul wrote in a million Thessalonians 4:sixteen is truly good--while Jesus returns, interior the air, for His saints, the ineffective will upward thrust first, and, in accordance to the subsequent verse, we who're alive and ultimate will connect them, and on the thank you to be with the Lord constantly. Did you examine the subsequent countless verses, or the entire context? 2. Now in 2 Corinthians 5, Paul is discussing the guy believer and what happens while a believer dies. The believer is going to be with the Lord. back, i'm particular you observed the verse that reported if Paul replace into absent from the Lord, he replace into interior the physique, etc. So there is no contradiction, those verses mirror 2 distinctive aspects of a believer's death, ought to a believer die formerly the Rapture. The physique is going into the floor and the soul/spirit is going to be with the Lord. while the Rapture comes, the physique is raised, and joined to the soul and spirit, and is going to Heaven.

Try to understand: Love thy Brother, Love thy Neighbor, etc. doesn't mean love everyone that is doing everything. Jesus showed that whoever is doing the will of His Father, is the same as his brother. Also the Samaritan story shows us love will cross racial lines that worldly ones use as points of division.
God clearly has requirements, so must those that want to be his friend.
But remember this: This does not give any Christian the right to condemn or call down evil on his fellowman. Even the angels
carefully avoid to.
The judgment seat has been given to Christ , and the 24 elders.

As a follower of Christ, I can boldly say here and now that I do love you and any other person out there. Is there any difference between a liar, someone who commits adultery, a thief or a gay person? No. Sin is sin. All have sinned and come short of His glory. We are only saved by God’s grace, not our works or the holy front that some people put up. The consequences of our choosing are between you and God.
Be blessed and know that you are loved, unconditionally.

That assumes a LOT. First, it assumes that it is loving to let someone pursue something that you see as detrimental. Someone who believes that the Bible condemns homosexuality believes that is bad for the person participating in it. Just as a caring person would not allow someone to jump off a cliff, religious people who believe that homosexuality damages the individual believe that the loving thing is to dissuade them from harmful behavior. This is not to say that many who speak out against homosexuality do so in a loving, correcting manner, but that's another story altogether.

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. -- Leviticus 18:22
Ok..before you get upset with me...I don't follow this religion, I follow a different path, but I found this at the Skeptics Annotated Bible. My husband has a bible, and I looked to see if it was in there..and yes it is.
I wouldn't worry to much about this~ I did think it was pretty funny though that a non-follower of this religion found the actuall chapter and verse.

We have love and compassion for the sinner but not for the sin. The Bible that you sorta quoted makes it clear that God's opinion of homosexuality is MOST unfavorable. He refers to it repeatedly as abomination. A rather harsh word--it means to spew forth out of your mouth. So basically God says that homosexuality makes Him Puke You Out. That is not being wishy-washy about it. That is very clear cut.
BTW--homosexuality is not the only sin that He describes with the word abomination.
And with all sin He has made a way of escape. The penalty for sin is death, now and eternally, but Jesus paid the price for your sin--if you will acknowledge Him Lord and God, and repent of your sins, (repent means "to turn away from,") and ask His forgiveness.
How much more love and compassion could you want?

I'm not very religious, but it means love the person even if you disagree with their actions. Just like you should forgive and love someone who has done you harm, even though you might hate what he does. as for gays, I personally do not care what they do. I'm just getting a little annoyed that on almost every TV show or movie it seems that a gay person is thrown in there just to be politically correct. Gays make up a small minority, but Hollywood makes it seem like every other person is gay.

Don't remember the chapter and verse, but I do remember reading it. I'm sure one of our biblical theologians will quote it for your soon though. The thing is, that was in the old testament, and the new testament changed things, not changing sins, sin is sin, but changing how we are to view them. We are no longer to stone the sinner, as in the old testament, but love the sinner, hate the sin. We all sin, every flamin one of us. Jesus showed us with the adulteress they were fixin on stoning to death, to forgive her, and he told her to go and sin no more. So the thing is to stop whatever the sin is. Yes, it's hard, no matter what the sin, but that's the way to Him. But you're right, christians have no right to tell anyone they're going to hell, which many of us have a bad habit of doing, because every one of us sins. We're to treat everyone as we would have them treat us, regardless of what sin it is. We are told quite specifically in the bible who the judge is, and its not any of us. He will judge by our hearts, and its completely and totally His job, not ours.

I'm totally with you on that one mr. sofa king...LOL
Anyway, Jesus never said anything about homosexuality. Jesus did say some things about judging and being hypocrits. The stuff Jesus got mad about was the religious intolerance and narrowmindedness of the religious leaders of his time...
And this is in response to the Jesus called out sin person, I don't read anywhere where Jesus didn't love, heal, hang out with someone considered a sinner. (Not that I think homosexuality is a sin) Jesus was known to hang out with the outcasts, the "sinners" of his day, where would he be hanging out today?
