I like this verse better my friend:

Joh 11:26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

A Christian is someone who both lives and believes in Jesus. Repent is close but no cigar. We must make Jesus the Lord and Master of our life.

Glad to help :)

Acts 2:38 is the call of the Gospel. When the Spirit of Christ enables you to respond to the call is how you are saved.

The book of Acts is not written in the prophetic style and is a history. When God speaks, He speaks in parables.

Batptism alone does not save, but a life that is good for the sake of the Lord.

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38.
Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3:5. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18. The way to salvation is through Christ Jesus. Firstly, you must admit you're a sinner. Then ask Jesus to be your Savior by repenting your sins with godly sorrow (meaning you will at all cost avoid sin altogether) and believing that He is the Son of God. And finally, be baptised in the name of Jesus so that He is Lord of your life, which means accepting the Holy Spirit into your life and guiding you until our Lord and Savior returns. That's how I know people come to salvation.
