Sure, why not ? Money and a nice card will always, make a perfect gift. Any amount is fine. This is " A GIFT ", gifts come from the heart. You don't have to give anything. What ever you decide, is a perfect amount. If they end up say'n you two were cheap, or they belittle your gift. TELL'N "GO ***** THEMSELVES YOU UNGRATEFUL BASTARDS"

I think that's perfect, maybe a little too much! I received lots of cash gifts on my wedding day and that was absolutely fine with me and my husband....my reception was in a super nice place and many of my non relative's gave me anywhere from $50 - $100...which I thought was fine....bottom line, $250 will be fine

I think that is a lot of money for just a co-worker. Would you really buy a gift for $300? I think $50 is more reasonable for a nice wedding in a fancy hotel.

I would say $50 to $75 from each person so the answer is $100 or $150.
$300 or more is crazy!!! I mean you are going to the wedding you aren't invited to the honeymoon.

There is not set formula for how much to gift at a wedding. People gift according to how they feel about the couple, closeness to the couple, and according to their financial status. Anything you hear about "you need to cover the cost of your plate" or it needs to be more due to being at a fancier venue is a MYTH.
If it is a co-worker, how close are they, really?

Honestly, for that relationship, $100.00 is even a generous gift. I'm certain that if you give $250 or $300, it would be more than enough.

I preffered money when I got married!!! BUT $300 from a co-worker is a little extravigant I think! Mabey just give $200... They would definitly appriciate that.... I know I would have! Keep in mind you want to pay for your plates & give something extra!!!!!
HAVE FUN!!!!

Give what you feel comfortable giving. I don't believe in the stuff where people think you need to give a gift based on what it cost them to have the reception. It is a gift and it is up to you.
