I have a new external hard drive and just want to get the best software that will periodically and automatically backup data on the c drive. I know XP has one built in but have heard less than stellar reviews.
Any third party software you would recommend? Thank you for your input.

Norton ghost is not suitable in your case because you only want to backup the data, not the whole harddrive.
There is a program is call SecondCopy which can do a scheduled automatically backup your data files into any other drive at the background. The program is small and very stable.

The school I go to uses Norton Ghost. Seems to be pretty good.
