Although every situation can be different it is my belief that reconciliation is the answer, period. My wife and I were married for 17 years and without going into extended detail my marriage ended. We have 3 wonderful boys that, by the choice I made, were victims of a broken home.
My wife and I remarried after 2 years of divorce. The truth set me free, yet in the meantime, (those 2 years from hell), I was miserable.
If you truly have a contrite spirit and approach him with the love and forgiveness that is needed I believe he will see a new person. Humility is a part of healing and taking whatever control you think you have and throwing it away.
I have a wife and 3 boys around our home as I write that are living proof of what God can do when you lay it all down and surrender yourself to Him and His will.

Y can't u just move on to another? He may not want to get back together and on the note u should just move on to someone more exciting and who will keep u smiling and happy
