Yes. 100 is usually considered average, 140 "genius".

If you believe that the classic IQ tests are 100% accurate-then 126 is a decent IQ. It's about average.
But I believe there is a lot more to what makes a person smart or slow in life. Some people can score as high as Einstein on an IQ test but they can't operate a DVD player. There are different measurements of how intelligent a person is other than an IQ number.

I believe avg. intelligence is still considered anywhere between 80 and 120. So, 126 is a good intelligence quotient. It would make the person, I'm assuming you mean you- smarter then 70% or so of the people out there, which is a nice place to be. Extremely intelligent people can have problems, so I personally wouldn't worry about being too much higher then that. You should be able to relate to the avg. person, yet are smart enough to accomplish a lot.

Of course, all this is assuming that you're pretty even across the sub-tests of a standard test of intelligence. Some people have very strong areas, and very weak areas of intelligence. This means that they may score really good on one subtest and really bad on another, while still scoring an overall avg. of 126 on 10 subtests (sometimes 12 subtests are used, but don't worry they account for that). I used to teach learning disabled and this is how they are defined. They would likely have very good overall ability to learn, but need to take a different approach to learning. You learn to compensate for the weak areas, with practice, time, a good support system and patience. It's not always easy.

And of course, there's areas of intelligence that are not measured. You can have a very high IQ and not be functional at all for other reasons. (i.e. -Plain old street smarts for one.) Actual test scores are really not that useful in determining a person's ability to get along in the world.

There is no good way to answer this question. Different IQ tests have different scales. You can take 2 different tests and have a different IQ from each one. Aside from that, I've heard that 130 is gifted. So, 126 would be at the very least "Above Average"

Yes it's good, but don't listen to most of the morons answering your question. The odds are very good that they are lieing to you about their I.Q's It's all relative my friend, A high IQ does not give you "common sense" Which you need to get you through life. Your IQ is only a number which by studying hard you can raise, but I know many people with high IQ's that are idiots when it comes to dealing with everyday life. It's what you want to do for yourself, set goals and go after them. Good Luck in your life.

Yes, that's better than the average. My IQ: 150.

126 is good. Serious. You can raise it (if you want to) by doing a lot of cognitive exercises and then retaking an IQ test in a few months. If you want to lower your IQ (assuming that's something you might want to do for whatever reason) then drink a lot of alcohol. Kills brain cells.

100 is average and the IQ curve is a bell curve. 126 is considered quite good.

The classifications of IQ which must be used with great discretion are:-
Under 70-mental deficiency or retardation.
70 to 90-dull normal.
90 to 110-normal.
110 to 125-superior.
125 to140-very superior.
Above 140-genius.
Your chid's IQ can be considered as very superior.

I think its an average intelligence..MIne is 146, but it also depends on how old you are..You IQ is just an intelligence quota, thats suveys groups verses individuals so your IQ doesn't mean that much.
