Which tastes better flour or corn tortillas?

Both taste great, the corn tortilla is known all over Mexico but the flour tortilla originated in the Northern Mexico States. where the dry climate was not entirely suitable for maize crops. Corn tortillas are a staple of Mexican cuisine, you can practically eat anything with a tortilla. Corn tortillas are good for chicken tacos and flour tortillas are great for quesadillas (melted cheese quesadillas) A corn tortilla sometimes tends to split in half when the filling has too much liquid, but this can be avoided if you slightly cook them in oil for a couple of seconds. Flour tortillas fry well but don't taste as good as fried corn tortillas. Both are great choices but it depends on your personal preferences. By the way, a flour tortilla must be thin, I've seen some things that look like a thick pizza base passed off as a flour tortilla, eat two or three of those and you're full. Experiment with different foods and decide for yourself which tastes best with what.

Flour - my grandmother got up early every morning to make fresh tortillas for the family & held them upright in the paper napkin holder until they cooled. Nothing better than a hot tortilla w/butter or buttered w/a roasted green chili & a slice of baloney.

For soft tacos, the flour tortillas work pretty darn nice.

For frying? Corn seems to taste better to me.

I prefer flour, But corn can be good! I've had some good home made ones!! but overall i will stick to flour and is easier to work with for Enchiladas

depends on who you ask; myself i prefer the taste of corn tortias better,but flour ones are easier especially if you are on the go.
