Her short game is a weakness, so l believe she would have been in for a (very) rude awakening.
To survive Winged Foot, you must be able to scramble and make putts!
Michelle Wie could be great, but badly needs coaching with her short game. Phil Blackmar (among other great short game coaches) could help her immensely.

Nice thought. She may have hurt her wrists in that rough. Hard for her to break 80, just like half the field. Maybe she could putt the greens? Ken
