For cheerleaders, it's vicarious ego. I got depressed when my home football team, the Chicago Bears, got rid of the HoneyBears.
There'snothing that can inspire a Man to feeling GOOOOOD, better than a Cheerleader spurring him on.
What I've noticed about blondes, is that you can see them a block away, because of sunlight. But up close, I prefer the more subdued hair colors.
