Do fat people and diabetics have the "moral fiber" to stop shoving crap down their throats?
Shouldn't we threaten them with incarceration?

Unfortunately you have a point. Obesity is causing many problems in our society. It is placing such a strain on our health system as the beds are no longer adequate, we need bigger chairs on planes etc. I think instead of insults we need to educate people and use the same tactics we use on war/cigarettes or anything that is harmful.

you're right, we SHOULD. What's a drug addict rather than someone who doesn't know what is good for them. Same goes for obese people. However, it is just harder, because a lot of obese are not able to help it, it is in their genes or the have a disease. Also, the question becomes at when does someone get so fat that they need to be forced a "moral fiber"; because some are just overweight, and there;s nothing wrong with that. Also, a person are able to hide that they do drugs; you can never hide that you eat too much, everyone can see that.
To go to the point that we call it a 'war', might be a little too overdramatic though... drugs actually ruin people's lives, and you can go to jail for it. You will never lose your job, family or go to jail for being fat. So, the difference, although seperated by a thin line on the surface, goes a lot deeper.
Personally, I don't like people who are druggies or people that eat to the point that they can't take care of themselves. It is discusting on both parts and it gets WAY too out of control.
Besides, don't fat people get enough termoil by being social outcasts? They can rarely get a girl/boy friend. They are made fun of constantly, people stare at them. That is abuse that no druggie has to deal with socially. To then put a 'war' on them, just isn't fair.

Hear hear. I think that sounds drastic, but it's still an equal approach to something as deadly as homocide. If people were allowed to give poison to others, causing slow death, it would be called a crime. Yet in America, if you sell in wrappers with a smiling clown as the pusher, it's called capitalism and generates giant profits.
Let's not blame the clown. The one at fault is the weak self-control of people today. You can't force people to do what they should. The only reason that good is good is that it is a choice. There is power in choosing a better choice. It is rarely or never immediately apparent, thus compounding the value of any anticipated reward.

Watch your step, though! The last people who suffered similar delusions ended up pathetically whimpering and offing them selves in an bombed-out concrete bunker. i.e. Hitler and friends.
You are indeed fortunate that you live in a society that doesn't incarcerate people like you, who have so much 'moral fiber' that they are always full of crap.

So, maybe we shouldreally start a war on stupidity. Diabetes isn't caused by being fat. its a genetic disorder in that the pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin for the body. Most diabetics don't over eat. You should get an education before someone throws you in jail for discrimination.

first of all you moron. some people can't be skinny like you. and it doesnt matter what some people eat they may not be able to lose it as easily as some can. a lot of times it is genetics and that is hard to over come. you think that because you are skinny that makes you better than someone who is not. you just go to prove how shallow some people are. and that you are not worth the air that you breath.

Being fat rulz!!! I'm not but it looks fun. I wouldn't care if I was fat. I would jiggle my Man Boobs and jump into the pool. I would walk around and rub my fat belly. I would eat whatever I wanted and just wear extra large clothes. One day I will let myself go and when I do it will kick #ss.

i liked the idea of making restaurants like Mcdonalds with TINY doors so fat ppl cant get in. lol
