Perhaps they are angry because they feel like they are not part of the inheritance and resent your confidence that you are. It's not good to judge others but it is natural I guess, in the fallen world. I have moments of doubt too. It's not easy to love your enemy, especially when you don't want any enemies. If they say you are ignorant, remember, judge not for as you judge you will be judged. Remember also that wisdom appears foolish to a fool. It is not our place to convert. Maybe that has to do with the resentment. I don't know, but I think your delicate manner is a good example of kindness in the face of adversity. You are tolerant and in my opinion a good embassador for Christianity, if you are a Christian. Oh, and YES!, you do make sense.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say you must intimidate people or threaten them, Which is what I have received from a number of Christians, some of which from this site, It is always great to receive emails telling me I am going to hell. The most dangerous people in this world are the people that believe they must save or convert everyone, these are the people blowing themselves up and killing in the name of God, Is that something not to be angry about? The people of any religion that do not make me angry are the ones that have a personal faith and will if asked explain what it is about but for the majority of the time they keep it to their self, these people are the charity workers of the world that see people as human and not as some one to save or condemn.
Have read the Bible and God did not tell you to go spread the good news so go and read it again and stop the persecution

You will know them by their fruit..... you can't separate yourself from what you chose to associate yourself with. The truth is the majority of christians do nothing more than condemn others for any reason. That is something you all have in common. Do onto others??? Cast the first stone???? judge not lest ye be judged.\??? you are all grouped together, you are a violent religion , you murder, you deceive you condemn. You are emotionally, mentally and often physically abusive. The freedom of religions laws were to prevent your religion from murdering others. Well those rocks you've been casting are about to hit home. YOU ARE UNDENIABLY ALL THE SAME.

People using the term "christian" and then nefariously doing things far from Christ like has given the term "christian" a bad name. In scripture there is evidence that this would happen..it was prophecied..."many will come in my name.." "wolves in sheeps clothing.." Even Christians were persecuted by the early "church" (Apostate Roman Catholics) for daring to have remnants of scripture, not paying taxes to the "church" and etc. All kinds of wars were caused by the Roman Catholic occupation of the middle east and other parts of the world. Jesus said that we would be hated..mostly because what is taught by the Bible sheds light on areas most would like to be kept in the dark or celebrated and embraced as "not sinful". So what's the alternative...circular reasoning...It can't be a sin if there is not God. The Bible is a lie so how can any assertion be proven by it including its authenticity? Christians are hypocrites, fanatics, religious zealots who cause nothing but wars, strife and aggression...etc. The list is endless and it won't get better..it will get increasingly worse. That is why you need to grab up your Bible now and read as often, feasting on that bread of life, because it is quite plausible that in this lifetime your faith could be outlawed just as it is in certain countries now. Jail, camps, even death...I don't think Jesus was kidding when He said we will be handed over to be persecuted. Our own families will turn us in..brother against brother and so on. You see there is the basic point that some people can't seem to grasp: you can't argue the validity of christianity by quoting the bible! This is a "Begging the Question" (Petitio Principii) fallacy, a type of circular fallacy that takes the form of arguments or other statements that simply assume or re-state their own truth rather than providing relevant evidence and logical arguments. How can you defend the truth with the truth when others refuse to see it as anything but a lie? The evidence is in the truth and the truth is in the evidence..so what is this evidence? God said the wages of sin is death. Every known commandment in the scripture has a consequence that is negative...only love heals, only love forgives, the greatest love a man has is to lay his life down for his neighbor, feed the poor, house the homeless, take care of the children and widows, elderly and sick, love your enemies as Jesus loved His. All these testify to the fact that there is a loving and benevolent God whose grace and mercy are new every morning. Nature testifies to this. Yet people refuse to see..they have blinded hearts and don't realize what the Gospel of Christ does for people...and they never will as long as they look at "Christians" or people who call themselves such. What they need to see is the Gospel and Jesus and His message of salvation. Some will...most will not. It is a message that calls out to each of us but few will heed that call. It does not good to get upset over things that Jesus has said would come to pass. If He knew and does know then how can it harm us. Just go on loving and learning and growing in Him. Let Him take care of the rest. Remember, at His coming it will as it was in the days of Noah. Pray for those that scoff and show malicious disdain for you or Christ. Have compassion on them..they don't know what they are doing or where they are bound. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Funny you should bring this up, it bothers me too! At 41..... here is what I found........Hate is a way to deal with death.....so is Love......Christianity (irregardless of what faith) is based on love. But Christians are human.....and sometimes you as a human can love too much and have to make a point (Catholic Crusades or even the new muslim movement((911))).I am a Christian, and hope you find the answer your looking for..... If I've learned anything......hate bears bad fruit.......love can solve problems......and a good dog is a mans best friend....

I know. I appreciate people who can challenge other's thoughts, ideas, and beliefs without belittling them. I don't totally understand many other religions, or Atheism, or Paganism, but I can learn from them, and be open to their ideas, and even admit they raise good points. I get a little tired of taking the lumps for all the narrow minded, ignorant Christians out there, but oh well...what can you do but be yourself?

Only the Lord can open someone's eyes. Yet the person themselves must open the door to Christ. Self-compulsion is not against rationality and free will that God gives us. A person must compel themselves toward belief and learning. Reading the Bible, preachings and doctrines are good for them but they don't realize it. Sometimes it takes sickness, poverty, lack of friends or lonliness to get someone to turn around.

We as Christians must remember that Jesus said "either you are for me or against me"., for this reason we know that those who are not Christian are followers of Satan, either by omission or commission. We know that Satan is filled with a terrible hate toward all that is good. We also know that God has given Satan temporary dominion over the Earth, so we have to stand firm in our faith amid all the diversity that Satan sends our way, i.e. hate, scorn, enmity, etc. We do not throw insults back because of our nature as followers of Christ, who instructed us to pray for those who treat us badly. I hope that this makes a little sense to you, and makes your journey a little easier.

I think its a frustration thing. People dont understand that you cant change a persons beliefs. If you try and question them its an insult really. Unfortuately Christians are always trying to convert people and when you push, people revolt and get more extreme the more you push them. Its quite natural really.
