The word ditto is used when people are having a conversation with one another and one says something like I love you and the other one said ditto which means me too or back at you. My uncle uses it a lot when we are talking about how bored we are and what me are going to do he would always say ditto to something that we are going to be doing in common. Just like today we were talking and he used the word ditto twenty five times and yes I count them each day one day he used it at the most fifty three times in one day.

It basically means to copy or repeat
ditto |ˈditō|
1 used in accounts and lists to indicate that an item is repeated (often indicated by ditto marks under the word or figure to be repeated). • informal used to indicate that something already said is applicable a second time : if one folds his arms, so does the other; if one crosses his legs, ditto. 2 a similar thing; a duplicate.
ORIGIN early 17th cent.(in the sense [in the aforesaid month] ): from Tuscan dialect, variant of Italian detto ‘said,’ from Latin dictus ‘said.’

Its meaning is best said with an example, in tis case a table
Buyer---Product
Tom--Bread
Bill--Juice
Ditto--Water
In this case, Bill bought juice and water. Ditto is ussually used to not repeat long sentences.

It means like repeat what someone just said. Ex.
If you were to say "hello" and I were to say "ditto" it would mean that I am pretty much saying "what you just said"
