I am a professional in higher education, but the "real" me is just a country gal with a degree. I like to fish, roam in the woods, and read. If I was not a slave to plumbing, I think I could live in a tent in the woods. I am not into wasting money on movies or dinner. A quiet movie at home (with a cheap cold beer) is much less expensive than wasting money on a movie and meal. I know how to cook, and I have a great collection of movies.
All my friends want to fix me up with professionals in my field, but these men are almost always stuffy and only interested in discussing our profession. My job is just a job. It is not my life.
Please don't tell me to go to a bar. Been there. Done that. Bought that T-shirt.
I just want to meet a fella who is not intimidated by my degree and doesn't mind getting a little dirt under his fingernails.
I am 46, and still looking for the White Knight or the white picket fence. I'd settle for a 4 wheeler or a john boat! : )

You sound like the type of woman every common man is looking for. Look for a common man in places of manual labor, carpenter, repair man, retail sales, etc. You have your head on straight........you have intelligence, and you have "sense" too, a wonderful combination. Where do you live? If you don't want to post that, send an e-mail. I am sure there are tons of guys reading this and saying, "Now, that's the kind of woman I've been looking for", myself included. Rent a motor home and take a vacation to a up scale campground. Lots of guys (Single Professionals) drive motorhmomes and campers. I know a lot of nise ones here (TN) and (FL). Checkout the campersales lots or e-mail me for more info. Have a great life .....Don You sound like a Great Lady. LOL

mix with people who enjoy doign the same things as you
join groups, clubs etc
that way you have a better chance of meeting like minded friends
these friends will have friends and so your network expands allowing you to come in contact with men of similar interests
