Should the cheese be cooked to a temperature of 165F or higher, it will be safe for consumption because this will kill _all_ bad things in it.

1. Yes your girlfriend can have fish (including tuna). She should be eating only in moderation though due to concerns over mercury. So a serving or two a week is okay. She can have shellfish cooked thoroughly. 2. Cheese is okay as long as the milk has been pasteurized (concerns over listeria which can be passed to a fetus in utero). Soft cheeses cured with mold are iffy. Best to stay away just in case. By the way, a ban on soft cheeses doesn't make all dairy bad. You're talking about a small subset of one of many products made from dairy. Yogurt is okay to eat. 3. Caffeine is not bad in moderation. She can enjoy 2 cups of coffee a day. She can drink all the coffee she wants when BFing also. The 'rules' are not as severe as your GF is making them out to be.

I never heard of that but cooking will probably be okay if it reaches a high temp, not just melted. I have heard that people over 50 shouldn't eat soft cheese.

~Not sure, consult your doctor. You aren't supposed to eat aged cheeses because of the mold.. but if you eat them in moderation it's ok.. same with fish because of the mercury.~

Yes, because they are unpastuerized. I don't know whether you can eat it if it's cooked.
