its okay for dogs to swim in the pool....its safe for humans right? can she get out of the pool by herself? if not, she better just be in the pool when your family is around....i think its cute that you let your dog swim with you....family fun!

about drinking the pool water....you use chlorine right? it may not be so safe for her to drink it....i'm not sure...

Many men and women purchase their puppies a "turtle" pool that is used for kids for the canine to take a dip or lay down in as an alternative than having them swim within the humans pool. The men and women pool will not be a problem as long as they have a option to get out comfortably (like a climbable platform or a ladder if they've been knowledgeable to use it). Chlorine has already been addressed in other posts. The one other crisis with using the individuals pool is the filter getting clogged with dog hair.

It is fine for the dog but if you have a liner or a rubber pool it may harm it. I would buy a little $10.00 pool for the dog and have her stay out of the big pool. I did this for my lab and she loves her pool.

Swimming should be good excercise for her but drinking the water, with all the chemicals, probably isn't the best idea. Just bring out a water dish for her while she's out there.

As long as you keep an eye on her. Dogs can get very tired and end up drowning in a pool or lake if you are not careful.

If your not out there or anyone else you should tie her up and give her a little bowl with water in it.It isn't a good idea to let her drink it with all of the cimicals.

the most important thing is for your dog to know where to get out of the pool. it's fine that she swims in the pool, great exercise.her hair will make the pool filters dirtier faster ,though.

well i had 2 labs before and they all loved the water so it really doesn't matter as long as your there to protect them from drowning and dont let them go so deep you never know what could happen

Its ok, but you have to dry her off after, or she may catch a cold or pnemonia. Its not bad for her, but you shouldnt let her swim for too long.
