Why would you want to break them of not covering their feces? I say, if they actually use the litter box, yay for them and for you.

I don't know that there is anything you can do to fix this, I think its a personality thing. I have 2 cats, one does the same thing yours are doing, but the other will spend 5 to 10 min in there covering everything up.

consider yourself lucky, the cat who doesn't cover anything also doesn't track litter out of the box. the cat who covers everything, she gets litter all over the place.

You may have to show them a few times by gently guiding their paws and showing them how to scrape the litter over their poop. They'll eventually get the idea.
if your kittens share the same litter box. The rule of thumb is one box per cat and one extra, so that would mean three boxes for your two siblings.

From my own experience, the way the mother cat taught the kittens to cover their #2 is how the kittens do it. Perhaps this lady is right if your Momma cat didn't show them to do it, perhaps you will need to.
Good luck

Why does it matter if they cover their feces or not? You still have to clean the litter box either way. If it really bothers you then use a scooper and cover it yourself.
I would not attempt to retrain your cats. Doing so may stop them from using the litter box all together.

If this bothers you just buy an automatic cleaning litter box

Why is that a problem its easier to scoop up!
If you really want to fix that problem then buy gloves and raisins because it looks like poop and berry it and your cat might learn!
If that dosent work oh well bad luck!

Every cat is different, just like every person is different. I would say pick your battles and don't worry about this one.

Take care.
