yes, though there is little presence of blood, maybe just a drop or two.
when cats (and dogs) menstruate it is more commonly referred to as being "in heat"
while in heat your cat may exhibit certain behaviors such as sleeplessness accompanied by long meowing all night, presenting her hind quarters, and a desire to go outside.
do not let your cat out if she is displaying any of these behaviors, unless you want her to get pregnant.
instead immediately make an appointment to have her spayed.

yes it means they are in heat.. usually females will bleed all over the place in dogs, but i think cats usually keep themselves pretty clean. be on the lookout for her acting hyper and crazy also. i know that in dogs that after 1 week to 10 days after they bleed that they can get pregnant. and i also heard that cats can get pregnant by more than just 1 male cat at a time. so when she has the litter if any there could be a chance of different mixes of kittens. try google and see what you come up with. i heard this about cats, and am not definite on it, but it sounds right.

In the world of breeding cats, the female cat is usually referred to as a "queen". Her heat cycle is often called the "estrus cycle" or simply "estrus". The length of time of the estrus, and the frequency of the estrus cycles depends upon many factors, such as geographic and environmental factors, (temperature and the number of daylight hours), her age and overall health, and her genetic background. Once a queen goes into heat or estrus, she may stay in heat for several days, to 2-3 weeks. Some queens, once they are sexually mature and enter estrus, do not come out of heat unless and until they are either bred to a full male cat, or spayed. The majority of queens will cycle in and out of estrus during the prime breeding season (roughly December through August), returning back into heat approximately every other week.

And after estrus for a female here is the info on how long she will be pregnant.
Question How long is a cat's gestation period?

Answer Cats generally have pregnancies lasting from 58 to 65 days. They can become pregnant at as early as six months of age and go into heat twice a year, in the spring and the fall. Cats are induced ovulators, which means that they need stimulation by a male in order to release eggs from their ovaries. Until this happens, a cat can remain quite uncomfortable throughout the heat period, which can last up to three weeks. Anyone who has a female cat knows that the sound a cat makes during heat is one of extreme distress. I often find cat owners camped out on my office doorstep waiting for my arrival so that I can spay their cat immediately, as they and their cat were up half the night due to the cat's suffering.

If you are planning to mate your cat, it's a good idea to line up a male well in advance. Most successful litters are from females who are between three and six years old mated with an experienced male. Be aware that the act of mating can be pretty intense because the male will grab the queen (the mother cat) by the neck with his teeth, often resulting in some hair loss and scarring. Your vet can confirm the pregnancy after about four weeks by either palpation (feeling the abdomen with a gentle squeeze), ultrasound or a bit later on by radiograph. During the pregnancy the queen's caloric intake and weight will increase, so be sure to provide additional food. Toward the end of the pregnancy the queen's mammary glands will swell, and she may start nesting in a specific area.

definite. The domestic dogs advance contained in the womb of the female in dogs. same for cats they advance contained in the womb too. they provide start to stay youthful that are born blind or particularly their eyes proceed to be closed and in undemanding words open at the same time as they're 10 days old. Menstruation occurs so as that the fertilised eggs will be nourished through the blood. once the animal is pregnant then menstruation stops .The abscence of menstruation is a huge clue that the animal is pregnant.

A female cat has an estrus or "heat" cycle. They go into their cycle every three months. During this time, it would be best to keep them in the house and away from male cats.

Their cycle is like a menstrual cycle, and usually lasts 14 to 21 days. during the middle, their cycle is clear and can get pregnant.

A cat can ovulate whenever the opportunity arises. One cat can have several different fathers of her kittens in one litter. Have you ever heard of a cat in 'heat'? Get her spayed or you will be contributing to one of Americas biggests overpoulation problems.

Yes they do, have her spayed to avoid blood stains on your stuff and more importantly unwanted pregnancies. Spaying also keeps her wanting to stay home and not run off, and keeps the Toms from leaving their scent around your home.
