I was at the whole foods store (a place where alot of vegans and hippies buy their organic foods) and as I was leaving I saw a car in the parking lot with about 4 different bumper stickers. Most of them were very open-minded statements about saving the earth and eating organic, and one said "NO ARABS NO TERROR!" How is it that someone so seemingly open-minded could be so outwardly racist!? Are they suggesting that all Arabs must die? Even the pro-war activists arent so cruel as to kill them all! What is going on with the world!?

And you assumed that the car belonged to a Hippie? What if it belonged to a conservative vegan? And another assumption is that these are the only people who shop at Whole Foods, While the bumper sticker was racist( not all Arabs are terrorists, nor are all terrorists Arabs) Someone thought he or she was being funny---NOT. You know what they say about making an assumption, if you assume you make an *** out of u & me.

Way back before there was civilization, or even hippies, families or groups of people who lived together somehow universally came to the conclusion: "Our Tribe Good, Other Tribes Bad".
This creed has been handed down for eons upon eons. And, everyone, in some subtle (or not so subtle) way lives with it.
If you don't believe me, visit any of the thousands of high schools in this country. All of them are basically the same, yet any student, at any school will tell you how they are going to knock the poo out of some other school at some stupid game. Every kid thinks their school is the best, simply because it is theirs, and those other schools suck.
If it is any comfort to you, there is probably some gentle soul in Tehran with a bumper sticker that says, 'No Americans, No Roadside Bombs'.

Your right. That was racist-don't blame all hippies
I think people are angry-and some have reason.
We need to face all problems and be fair as we can-and yes some will not like the decisions.
If we ignore their reasons for anger we solve nothing.
I thought true Hippies were from the 60s-Beatnik's from the 50s. They stood for their own ideas. These guys are just copycats with different agendas and beliefs. Its a whole new ballgame. I was there I know.

It is disconcerting. I mean, if only for the environment, war is so damaging. Maybe they bouoght the car from someone and never bothered removing the older bumper-stickers. It is very hard to remove. But they were shopping at Whole Foods, huh? Mind-boggling. It is Arabs often helping with security and tracking down terrorists.

You see one bumper sticker and all of a sudden you think ALL hippies are 'racist'. How ignorant!! First of all, what makes you so sure they were HIPPIES!? Well, think for yourself, for a change...it's hard at first, but eventually your brain will return to its' normal size after the painful swelling...what do YOU drive? How much gas do you burn in a day? Where do you think the gas comes from? Where did the terrorists come from?
What's your perception of 'hippies' anyway, that they're all stupid, that they don't bathe, that they automatically love all people? Get out more...
