Actually, Bible doesn't condemn any of the things church uses to say, but is because Bible speaks in metaphors.
For example, Bible condemns suicide when speaks of your body as a temple of God, and the respect you must show for yourself. Actually is one of the ten commandments.
Obviously is not specif, otherwise Bible would go like:
You can't watch porn (Internet, DVDs, movies on any format).....
It's metaphor! Got it?

It's murder of the self. Murder is a sin.
That having been said, I leave it in God's hands as to their salvation. I think many undiagnosed mentally ill people commit suicide. They're just not making rational decisions.
I don't believe it's right to torture the loved ones who have lost friends and family members to suicide to say that it's unforgivable sin and they're in hell. We can never know what goes on with another person. God does know, and He makes the final judgment.
But suicide is not a godly way of dealing with life. Bailing out of this life in order to find rest in the next is murder of self and should be discouraged.
I believe it's also illegal, isn't it? If you try, the police get involved and you end up in the hospital under surveillance. You could argue that it's a sin in that it's violating the laws of our government.

There was one time when a King I do believe was fighting a battle and he was outnumbered like 1-20 or something so he and his servent commited suicide as a final act against the enemy (to rob them of a real victory) and it was saying how angry God was at him for losing heart and how he was condemned to hell and what not.

According to the bible your body is a temple to the lord. So anything that you do harmful to your body is sin. Think about it smoking, drinking, drug use. Ending your life is the worst kind of abuse you could do to your body because then you take away the life that God gave you.

Have you ever wondered about the reason of our existence? Have you ever wondered why we die, and where we go after death? What will happen to us in the end? Have you ever asked yourself why God made the earth and all that is in it under man’s dominion? Why were the night and the day, and the sun and the moon created? What are we supposed to do during our lifetime? Were we created just to eat, drink, and enjoy ourselves before we die? As one poet put it:
“I do not know whence I have come.
I saw my feet walking on the road.
As they please I go and stop.
What am I doing here?
How did the road find me?
I do not know! I do not know! I do not know! ”
God has emphasized in many verses of the Qur’an that He did not create us without purpose. He said: “What! Do you think that I created you simply in jest? And that you would not be returned to Me?” (23:115) He also said: “What! Does man think that he will be left to roam at his will?” (75:36) In addition, He said: “Do people think that they will be left to say: “We believe,” and they will not be held accountable?” (29:2)
Indeed, God Has created human beings for a purpose and with a purpose: TO WORSHIP HIM ALONE (Monotheism). He said: “I have not created the Jinn and humankind except only to worship Me. I don't require provision or feeding from them. Surely Allah is the All-provider, the Possessor of all strength, the Firm.” (51:56-58) In fact, all prophets told their people to worship God alone (Monotheism) and shun worshipping His creation (Paganism). God said: “I assuredly sent among every people a messenger with the command: Worship Allah and avoid worshipping false gods.” (16:36)
Prophet Abraham, for example, believed in One God, who had no partner. Anyone who holds a different understanding of God than this has contradicted the religion of Abraham and follows falsehood. God says in the Qur’an: “Those who reject the religion of Abraham make fools of themselves.” (2:130)
Prophet Jesus was reported in the Gospels to have said: “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only’.” (Luke 4:8)
Prophet Jacob also said (in the Qur'an) to his people: “Indeed, those which you worship besides Allah are only names that you and your forefathers have established, for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command belongs only to Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him. That is the right religion, but most people do not understand.” (12:40)

Real happiness and peace can be ONLY found in submitting to the commands of the Creator and the Sustainer of this world. God has said in the Qur’an: (Truly, in remembering God do hearts find rest.)
(Qur’an, 13:28)
On the other hand, the one who turns away from the Qur’an will have a life of hardship in this world. God has said:
(But whoever turns away from the Qur’an, he will have a hard life, and We will raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment.) (Qur’an, 20:124)
This may explain why some people commit suicide while they enjoy the material comfort money can buy. For example, look at Cat Stevens (now Yusuf Islam), formerly a famous pop singer who used to earn sometimes more than $150,000 a night. After he converted to Islam, he found true happiness and peace, which he had not found in material success.

The Bible NEVER says " thou shalt not kill" . In the original manuscripts of the Septuagint the Bible says Thou shalt not murder " which is by prior calculation and design. Killing is aloud concerning the Bible because the Bible has many instances of killing. But murder is planned and usually for selfish reasoning or for personal gain, revenge ect.
Fact is the original manuscripts/ autographs of the Bible condem murder but never condem killing. An example of killing would be a man killing someone else in self defense or a country killing the inhabittants of another country in self defense. Many people whom have killed in their lives will still see heaven even if their government has condemed them because the killing was for personal preservation or the protection of their family or Biblical, Godly reasons authorized by GOD in the scriptures.
Any man whom kills his wife if he catches her cheating will still go to heaven because it is biblical. Any man who kills a homosexual will still go to heaven. Any man who kills a women and the beast * she lies down with will still go to heaven because the bible forbids this kind of beastal relationship between man and women and beast. BTW, beast and animals are not the same concerning the bible. The bible talks about a beast that walks upright , is bypedded ( two legged), can speak, cry mightly unto its creator, reason with mankind, can sow its seed with mankind, can war with mankind, and loves to riot throughout the day.
There are so many reasons to kill and be justified by GOD but never is murder justified because it involves planning.

Many times the Bible does not explicitly list the "do's" and "don'ts" as commands or laws. We must discern what the principles are that are recorded in the Holy Scriptures.
Our Almighty Creator, Jehovah God as the source of life has decreed that human life is precious, sacred. (Gen. 9:5; Ps. 36:9) Hence, suicide, which means the taking of one’s own life, or killing oneself, is condemned by the Bible.
Such intentional act is self-murder. (Ex. 20:13; 1Â John 3:15).
The few suicides mentioned in the Bible are of those who were unfaithful to Jehovah and who failed to consider that their lives really belonged to God.—
(1 Samuel 31:4) Then Saul said to his armor-bearer: “Draw your sword and run me through with it, that these uncircumcised men may not come and certainly run me through and deal abusively with me.” And his armor-bearer was unwilling, because he was very much afraid. So Saul took the sword and fell upon . . .
(2 Samuel 17:23) As for A·hith´o·phel, he saw that his counsel had not been acted upon, and he proceeded to saddle an *** and rise up and go off to his house at his own city. Then he gave commands to his household and strangled himself and thus died. So he was buried in the burial place of his forefathers.
(1 Kings 16:18) . . .And it came about that as soon as Zim´ri saw that the city had been captured, he then came into the dwelling tower of the king’s house and burned the king’s house over himself with fire, so that he died. . .
(Matthew 27:5) . . .So he threw the silver pieces into the temple and withdrew, and went off and hanged himself.
One who intentionally takes his own life does so in utter disregard for the sacredness of life; he becomes bloodguilty. When one commits suicide while in possession of one’s mental faculties, this shows one to be void of morality, lacking faith, having no fear of God. It is a cowardly act, where one refuses to face up to the problems and responsibilities of life. If the person claimed to be a true Christian, the act would violently break his relationship with Jehovah.
Suicide may be the giving in to pressures from demons who encourage self-destruction. (Matt. 17:14-18) This extremely self-centered act of murder manifests no love for one’s surviving family members, no love for one’s congregation and friends, and no love even for the surrounding community, as it brings shame and distress of mind upon all associates.—Mark 12:31.
In most countries it must be a public officer, sometimes called a coroner, who officially reports the cause of death. While a report of suicide may be submitted by the officer, yet it may not be in harmony with the facts. For example, in one such report of suicide, three weeks later clear evidence came to light that the death was due to a freak accident. So, circumstances must always be taken into consideration. Was there mental illness involved? Was the person in his right mind? Was he culpable or blameworthy? In many instances it is difficult to get to know all the facts.
As lovers of righteousness we leave the matter in the hands of a merciful, all-wise God as to any possible future for some of those driven to suicide. We who are lovers of life, holding every day of life sacred, endeavor to conduct our daily affairs and associations in a way that will merit the approval of the One who gave life to humankind.

Very few would argue with the fact that suicide is a direct breaking of the Sixth Commandment which is, "You shall not murder." We are not to murder each other or ourselves.
