that God is so great? If I were god I would put an end to all of this war. I mean if he has all of this power why doesn't he end all suffering? It makes me so sad to see people get blown up or really sick, especially children. Like peple like Hitler and Saddam, if I were god I would have punished them when they got mean. Like put them in a comma or something and tell them that is how they will live until they decided to act nicer, you know, like how a "Father" would act. If he is the "Father" why doesn't he control his outta control "children"?

For you people saying that I am a "whiner" or whatever, and for me to do something, just to let you know. I spent last Christmas cooking at a homeless shelter and I volunteer at an orphanage. What do you do besides criticize us that do something? That is why I question god or if he even exists because I have seen first hand this bad stuff.

I Agree With (syeira).....You People Whine & Complain About What GOD Is Doing & Not Doing Instead Of Taking Your Rightful Place In This Crooked Society And Making A Difference!.....It's Evident That You Have No Wisdom Or Knowledge Of GOD Or His Word Because If You Did You Would Be Putting The Blame In It's Right Place!.....And Yes, GOD Is Great, Always Was, And Always Will Be!......And As Far As Your Opinion Goes Concerning God's Out Of Control Children (as you call it).....Everyone Has A Free Will And Will Be Judged By GOD On Judgment Day!.........

You are right. God will put an end to war, suffering, sickness. The question is, why is it taking so long? (Rev.21:1-4)

Think about a court case. Two opposing sides, time and proof.

Satan says his rule is better that God's. Time has passed, the proof is evident, the judge will give a verdict. God has chosen a worthy King, who is taking over on an unknown day.

Daniel 7:10b The Court took its seat...13) son of man...14) to him there were given ruler ship...that will not pass away, and his kingdom will not be brought to ruin. (Vs. 27)

We are like the jurors, and get to choose sides. (Deut. 30:19, John 16:11)

What you must understand is that God is a God of His word. Once He has said it, it must take place. God spoke the events of the past and of the present and of the future into exsistance before they every happened. He gave man the will to do whatever they wanted to do, and gave them ending result consequences, so Hitler, and Saddam, have been given the rewards of their action. Now stop questioning why God didn't do what you see to be right, and do what God says is right to do. Develop a relationship with Him, get to know why He does what He does and why He allows certain things to take place, and most of all why He spoke you into exsistance. God Bless

The Bible explains why there are catastrophes. Romans 8:19-23 tells us the whole creation groans because of sin.

Colossians 1:15-17 makes it clear that Jesus Christ holds everything together by the power of His Word. We only exist now because of Gods sustaining power. Originally, before sin, God held everything together perfectly. There couldnt have been any catastrophes, or death or suffering (i.e., there couldnt have been millions of years of death before Adam sinned as incorrectly interpreted by many people concerning the fossil record). However, because of sin and the curse (Genesis 3:14-19) God has obviously withdrawn some of that sustaining power so that nothing in the universe is held together perfectly anymore. Everything is groaning under the curse.

Actually, we live in a world where we experience a taste of what life is like without God. When we sinned in Adam, we in essence said we wanted life without God. If God gave us what we really asked for, we wouldnt exist. But God had to judge sin. He judged it by bringing death (which the Bible describes as an enemy) into the world, and now God no longer sustains everything in a perfect way.

Tragedies like the tsunami should remind everyone that ultimately we are the cause of such tragedies because were sinners. At the same time, we should be reminded that God is a loving God in that He has provided a gift of salvation because it is not His will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Part of this real history is the bad news that the rebellion of the first man, Adam, against Gods command brought death, suffering, and separation from God into this world. We see the results all around us. All of Adams descendants are sinful from conception (Psalm 51:5) and have themselves entered into this rebellion (sin). They therefore cannot live with a holy God, but are condemned to separation from God. The Bible says that all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and that all are therefore subject to everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power (2 Thessalonians 1:9).

But the good news is that God has done something about it. For God so loved the world, that He gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

Jesus Christ the Creator, though totally sinless, suffered, on behalf of mankind, the penalty of mankinds sin, which is death and separation from God. He did this to satisfy the righteous demands of the holiness and justice of God, His Father. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice; He died on a cross, but on the third day, He rose again, conquering death, so that all who truly believe in Him, repent of their sin and trust in Him (rather than their own merit), are able to come back to God and live for eternity with their Creator.

Therefore: He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God (John 3:18).

because God wants us to come to Him from our own free will.

If someone gives you a present becauset they have to, even if you know they really don't want to, how valuable would the gift be to you? You would know that it wasn't a gift given in the spirit of generosity, so it wouldn't be as meaningful. It's like that with the Lord. He wants our obedience to Him to be a gift given truly from the heart.

As for the actions of man on earth like hitler or saddam hussein .. you're not the first person to ask this and probably you won't be the last. Why didn't the Lord smite them down? Because He didn't. Because they were excercising their free will to turn away from Him. Because as a true parent, He allows us to make our own decisions.

If you have kids, you love them unconditionally. You don't say 'i'll only love you if you do this in your life'. Maybe things your kids do will make you really sad or really angry, but they're still your kids and you still love them anyway. God loves us all regardless of what we do. If we choose to turn away from Him, He is sad and mourns us. But if we turn to Him, he celebrates and welcomes us with open arms.

Hope this explains a bit - don't want to preach at you : )

The way this world is, God never wanted to be like this but God gave man a free choice. The reason being is that if you love a person would you like the person to love you because he/she chooses to ? or is forced to?
when adam sinned, he fell away from God for God is Holy and perfect. HE can not stand sin. ( That is why Jesus Christ died for our sins so we can have salvation and forgiveness for our sinns)

after adam sinned, man kind was cursed and all these war Bible says one day will all end ( when Jesus Christ comes back) but God is delaying His come back because there are still people who don't have relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ and if die without repenting they will go to hell.

For the same reason that you would not like being forced to be something your not.
God could impose His will on society, but would that really be the actions of a loving father.
As a father there have been times that I have told my daughter what she needed to do in a certain situation only to have her do the opposite and then come running to Dad for me to fix it.
And being a loving father that's what i did.
God treats His children the same way.

Answer that same question for yourself....why do parents allow their children to bring shame upon their family by the things their kids do? Young teens in gangs, kids using drugs, drinking or raping girls at prom...is that indicative of good parents? No...most would agree...yet many parents find themselves in this position whether they wanted it to happen or not..it doesn't make them bad parents...it makes them sad that their children used their free agency to act however they want.

God cannot CONTROL us or take away our free agency or he would cease to be God...he can't make us be good people..and you wouldn't know what good people were unless there were evil people as well...

everything must have its opposite...

by the way, biomimitek..what is wrong with you????

Furthermore, the Jews are his favorite, and think of what Hitler did to them! To me, that says that either he can't or does not exist.
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?"

i'm so sick of people like you being whiners and wanting to blame God for everything..he gave us something called FREE WILL..he created us, but he lets us live our lives the way we have chosen....I wish people like you would stop complaining and actually do something instead of moan and whine....if you don't like how the world is going, run for office...but it's much easier to sit at the computer and whine and blame God for your miserable life.
