It doesnt bother me. The ones that are working good for them. However what does bother me is the ones that are not working, are living and taking advantage of the system and get better treatment then natural born citizans.
As it is America has enough people who are homeless, hungry, unemployed etc. These people should be helped first. The ones that are here and SEEKING help.
So often people come here and get help right away. While I have struggled for help for years and have fought battle after battle. Right now and for the past four years we have not even had insurance.
Dont get me wrong I am lucky compared to some people and have done well for myself and my family but every step of the way has been a fight.
I could tell many stories but I will only tell this one. When I was pregnant with my first child I was eighteen years old. We were looking at houses to rent because my ex also had custody of two of his older children. We found a great house. It was in an area we wanted to be in. Four bedrooms. Nice yard etc etc etc. It was listed as for rent. But when we tried to rent it they told us that it was ONLY up for sale. They would not rent to ANYONE. About a month later people straight from another country (had not lived in America before at all) moved into it. They were renting it for $200 a month. Now tell me where I an American citizan can find a house or an apartment for that matter to live in for $200 a month.
Those are the things that make me angry.

Well, obviously citizens don't want to do jobs for which the minimum wage has been reduced, not increased!!! If you look at what was paid BEFORE illegal immigrants came onboard, and what's been paid AFTERWARDS ... you will find that wages have been reduced .. so, who benefits from illegal immigration? The corporations who hire them, that's all .... when Americans picked crops, did a head of lettuce cost $10 as some scare mongers will have us believe it would cost if we didn't have illegal limmigrants? No way ... the only thing that was different was that the workers got a decent, if not fantastic, pay ... and the company's profit margin was slightly less ....

How do you KNOW Americans wouldn't want to do them??????!!! I had relatives that worked in the fields many years ago, when i was a child, and then the ILLEGALS started taking those jobs, for CHEAPER pay!!
I personally know some AMERICANS, friends of mine, that are janitors. They clean other people toilets, floors, etc. They work HARD for a living, too!! Janitorial work is NOT easy work!
Aren't these the jobs that EVERBODY keeps saying, "Americans won't do"?? Do NOT believe all that BULLSHIT PROPOGANDA, of Bush's!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And there are ILLEGALS working in EVERY AREA of the work force!! They are NOT just doing menial labor,as the propogandists would have everyone believe!! You need to do some research! About 90% of the construction industry, are ILLEGAL aliens from mexico! The food service industry, also employs large numbers of illegals!! And food processing plants like Tyson,Pilgrims' Shame, and a lot of others! Do you want YOUR food cooked,or served by an illegal.coughing up bloody t.b.??? I do NOT!!

Ok, Last time, I challenge anyone, to show me a job that an American won't do. If they are talking about the fat, baby making welfare mothers out there, God himself couldn't find a job that they will do. But, they don't represent the American worker. There are plenty of Americans out there who will do any job, But they won't do it for minimum wage or less. a lot of the illegals are working for minimum wage by payroll check, and also collecting cash under the table at the same time. If somebody knows illegals being employed by temp agencies, then you need to report that fact to the INS, if you don't, then you are not lookiing out for your fellow citizen. You are part of the problem. american companies, that got their start in America, then got greedy and took their business overseas because the labor is cheaper are traitors to our country. It's the big executives that would rather make the huge bonus than to thank the communities that built their companies, are traitors also. It seem like this country is full of traitors.
And quit assuming that just because a job involves labor, don't exclude all Americans from wanting to do that job. I sure as hell wouldn't mind picking lettuce, if it meant that I could feed and cloth my family, and make a mortgage payment, car payment, pay insurance, pay for healthcare and pay for all of the other little things, that are required to exist in this country. I just don't happen to have 25 brothers and sisters willing to live in a two bedroom apartment and share expenses with me. If I did, hell yeah, I would pick lettuce, dehead chickens, clean toilets or swat flies for Ted Kennedy when he's drinking iced tea on the veranda. The fact is, is that this country is expensive to live in, especially when your government won't provide adequate mass transit, which would eliminate the car insurance we have to have, they wont provide low cost electricity, yet the big ceo's of power companies take home millions of dollars a year in bonuses, all the while they tell us how much more efficient their power plants are, where is the savings? Surely not in my wallet.
Sorry, I went off on a tangent. The bottom line is, is that most americans will do any job, but we have to seek out the jobs that will allow us to be decent citizens and pay our bills. Mexicans can dehead chickens in Mexico, then ship them to us. they don't have to live here and feed off of lady liberty' teats. GO HOME!!!!!!!!

They're not. That argument is moot. Here's an example I read in the L.A. Times. The article was about a landscaping company based in Orange County that had offered $34 an hour for workers, but the workers had to be legally eligible to work. The manager said at the time she was having difficulty filling positions because no one would take the job. I posted the link below, in case anyone is interested in it.

Americans do jobs that they don't like all the time. They do it because they have no choice. Why would you think illegals would be doing us a favor by taking jobs we need whether we enjoy doing them or not? Plus they drive down wages and keep them low. Some favor! Doesn't any of you high minded people care about America's poor? We weren't all born with trust funds and nannies, you know.

That is so untrue. Who do you think did those jobs before the illegal aliens got here? Who does them in states where there are very few illegal aliens?
Americans want better pay. If the illegals are legalized, they will want better pay, too. There was discussion of that in Congress. The Agricultural types wanted to make sure that if guest workers were brought in to do agriculture they couldn't shift to do something else when they got in. Everyone would rather have better pay if they have better options. Illegals don't have better options, so they price Americans out of the jobs.

It really gets tiring listening to people make lame brain assertions over and over. You said "most immigrants do jobs that Americans wouldn't wanna do". Can you point to your source? Do you have any studies, data or reference information to site? Why do you make statement that have no basis in fact? The fact is you don't have any. You have come to a conclusion without any facts to back it up. How liberal!

Because if the illegals wouldn't come here and undercut the pay of those jobs, the employers would have to pay at least minimum wage in order to get employees, at which wage American citizens would be glad to do the jobs, that's why!!!

ok do really think that every American has a college degree or that they want one some people love to work outside i have brothers who love outside work and would never want a office job . i have worked office jobs and factory , fast food and cleaning i love the cleaning jobs it doesnt make me stupid yes the pay isnt great but i like it i dont want to work in a office i dont want to go to college i also dont want my job market undercut thats only human and common economical sense!
a meat-packing job paid $19 an hour in 1980, but today that same job pays closer to $9 an hour, according to the Labor Department. illegal aliens depress wages for U.S. workers by as much as $200 billion a year in addition to placing a tremendous burden on hospitals, schools and other social services.
