Let baby sleep in car seat...or sitting up in anything at a 45 degree angle.

Keep up with the nose drops and get a humidifier going.

Try a nose suction first. He may not like it, but get as much out as you can. My son hates it and his dad has to hold him down while I do it. But it works, and he can breathe afterward.

Also, try Breathe Rite nasal strips to open his nasal cavities while he's sleeping. They come in small and large. You can also choose regular or no color for sensitive skin.

And use a vaporizer in his room at night. Along with the vaporizer, put vapor rub on hi chest before bedtime.

You can also put pure saline drops in his nose to soften the mucus that's getting lodged.

If none of these things work, he may have some dried mucus impacting his nasal cavities. In this case, go to the doctor. He can give you drops, spray, or antibiotics to take care of this.

Do alternate nasal breathing. Hold one side of the nose and breathe in s l o w l y. Then hold the other side and breathe out s l o w l y.
Continue this for some minutes. It does work. Got this from a Yoga book. I think the section was called Pranayama.
Also with the sleeping put a few drops of lavender oil on their pillow. I guarantee this will work (unless he/she does not like the smell lavender oil)
Good luck!

First of all the vaporizer is a good idea next try propping him up at more of an angle. This works very well if your child is still in a car seat because you can let them sleep in that just for the angle. If your little one is not in a car seat prop him up with a couple of pillows behind his back. I also find that when my girls are sick putting a blanket in the dryer for a few minutes to warm it up helps them to sleep better. Only do this if there is no fever. Good look and hang in there it will get better.

I use Dimetap cold and allergy for my 2 1/2 year old if he is having trouble berating. Right now he has a cold but, in the beginning of Spring, the allergies started. We live in GA. Also, raise the head of the mattress up and place a humidifier in his/her room. If it has been going on for a while, it is most likely allergies and if it is a newborn, then that is the amniotic fluid still in the body and then you would use the bulb sucker to get everything out. But, you should ask the doctor if it is a concern.

You need a humidifier in his/her room. Start it before you put them to bed. It makes the room damp and clears the nasal passage so they can breath easier. Also a warm bath help. Tylenol should help as well. Also try Vics Vaporizers, you rub on their chest it clears the nasals as well, anything with warm steam helps.Good luck.

My daughter went by this, too, at about a similar age. Saline and a bulb syringe and a humidifier may also help. She wont like it although! Have her sleep in a automobile seat or swing so she's propped up and save her upright as a lot as conceivable at the same time as its no longer time to sleep. did you understand if its a chilly, flu, hypersensitive reactions, etc? If no longer, locate out. you'd be in a position to grant her benadryl to assist. Ask your pedi first. also, have her ears checked. Congestion ought to steer on to ear infections that ought to reason her to modify sleep positions commonly and discomfort that keeps her up. Crying frequently causes gasoline, so attempt to save her calm to reduce the gasoline. i understand...less demanding stated than performed and that i'm effective you're trying merely on your own sanity! Ask your pedi in case you may provide your daughter pedialite. little ones get dehydrated right now and it will be severe and also reason congestion to worsen. She would take pedialite better appropriate than milk.

Let him sleep in his car seat sitting upright. Put on the vaporizer. Put saline up the nose and suck it out with an ear syringe. Give him Benelyn liquid for stuffy noses or Advil/Tylenol.

Have you tried to suck his boogers? You know..that thing that sucks the boogers..that you use with the nasal drops. (Sorry I think it's called an aspirator..but I always call it a booger sucker.)
If he hasn't been sleeping..you might want to try something like Benadryl Cold. But..be VERY VERY VERY careful with the dosage..and give him what the directions say to give him. Many children have died from over-dosage with that product.
Hope that helps.

You can by a humidifyer from most chemists & can even put a couple of drops of eucalyptis in the water. It opens the airways. Worked for my son & now for my grandson.
