When i say win her back, we have never technically dated, just hooked up from time to time

if like you say you just hooked up from time to time, I think it would be an idea to therefore go to the next stage and ask her out officially and see how it goes.
You did not mention whether she is in a relationship, if she is mate join the queue and wait!

Well, it all depends on the situation. Who broke up with whom? You say you need/want to "win" her back- you must have done something pretty bad to have lost her or make her dump you in the first place- she might not want you back. Or if you dumped her, how did you dump her? Were you a total jerk and do it by e-mail or on the phone? Or did you do it face to face? Would she be willing to even give you a second chance? Why do you want her back? Do you still love her? Show up at her house with a big bouquet of flowers and tell her straight up how you feel, and be as honest as you can. If she wants to take you back, that's all it will take. If my ex did that, I would melt. :)

It depends on what happened.
Why did the relationship end?
Do you want her back because you really miss her? Or becasue you miss having a relationship? Or because you are fed up that she dumped you (if she dumped you) Or did you change your mind?
It is tough, but there was a reason why it ended. Often, relationships start and stop a few times, but that doesn't bode very well.....as a counsellor I'd suggest one of you might have a fear of commitment. If so, you might benefit from some counselling...
I know it hurts when you want someone back. I hope these answers help you to move on.

She is not a prize or a possesion. You can't treat her like that and expect her to like you more. If you want her back first ask yourself why you split up If she left you for another guy, she probably wont want to come back. If you left her, then you have to ask if you want to take the chance that she hasnt changed. It is usually best just to move on, than to try to rekindle a broken relationship.

Why even bother just move on,Stop living in the past and get on with your life,Meet some one new it will be fresh and different and youll forget about that other person quick.and youll soon forget how desperate you were to ask total strangers advice on getting someone you obvioulsy aint meant to be with

you cannot 'win back' you gf as it is her choice to come back,
however you could talk to her about your feelings/ect
(just make sure before then that you really want her back as you dont want to bail out of the relationship again; which by this time would be no return (to get her again)).
