11 years of faithful, monogamous, sex with my husband (woo-hoo!). No condoms necessary. I highly recommend it (though you'll have to get your own spouse and you'll need to have blood work done. In some cases even married, faithful people have to use condoms because of past experiences).
But I agree, if you are going to take the risk outside marriage - while I don't recommend it - you should use a condom. It's not 100% safe, but it's better than nothing.

Abstinence is the only sure way to stop the spread. Wait for a committed relationship before you start having sex. Will start to curb HIV.
We've had about 20 years of getting the word out about condom use and it just isn't working. Yet, some just keep blindly pushing it as if one day people are just going to want to use them.

No, but that's because I'm trying to make a baby with my spouse right now. Kudos to all of you who are practicing safe sex, not only to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, but also to prevent unwanted children.

Wait makes you so sure condoms stop aids?
Many leading health experts have warned against depending on condoms for protection against AIDS and other STDs. Here’s a sampling of their comments:
"You just can’t tell people it’s all right to do whatever you want as long as you wear a condom. It (AIDS) is just too dangerous a disease to say that."
Quote from: Dr. Harold Jaffee, chief of epidemiology, National Centers for Disease Control
Simply put, condoms fail. And condoms fail at a rate unacceptable for me as a physician to endorse them as a strategy to be promoted as meaningful AIDS protection."
Quote from: Dr. Robert Renfield, chief of retro-viral research, Walter Reed Army Institute
"Relying on condoms for ‘protection’ can mean lifelong disease, suffering, and even death for you or for someone you love."
Quote from: Dr. Andre Lafrance, Canadian physician and researcher

My girlfriend and I do not use a condom. Since I broke her hymen and she has not been with anyone else, we do not have to worry. She is on the pill though. FYI I have only had three partners and I am 35.

nope... before I was married I didn't have sex... and since I knew my husband didn't have HIV (because he's in the military so he had to get tested and told me the results) we are using birthcontrol pills but no condoms.
