I caught them outside once, not in the act but I believe they were kissing before. My son who is seven is always talking about Carlos (the cleaner) and how he is sooo cooool... What the heck is going on here? My wife is spanish, I am Irish, and my son is hispanic looking... Should I jump to conclusions? what would be proper ettiquet in this situation. I am a resonable man.

Your wife is Spanish, and your son looks Hispanic? Okay...that sounds to me like your son gets his looks from his mother. And honestly, if the pool dude is causing you that much stress...fire him. I mean, in all fairness, this sounds like something on late night soap operas. Definately! But is there a little bitty chance that you might be jealous of Carlos?

Let's look at it from your point of view.

Your son looks Hispanic, your wife seems way too damn cozy with Carlos, and your son brags about how cool he is. Dude, seriously, that would piss me off. So, let's say you get a DNA test, you find out that your son is yours indefinately, and you fire the pool boy and when you actually tell your wife why you fired Carlos in the first place, she'll be hurt, and pissed, and go visit mother for a few weeks. That might not work either.

So..consider this.
Tell you wife how you feel. Right out. Tell her that you are getting these feelings like she's having an affair right under your nose with Carlos. She'll either come clean, or tell you how silly you've been for thinking such a thing in the first place.
All in all man, if you have no proof, you can't operate on possibilities. They'll make you crazy! The mind can do some serious numbers on you when you think constantly about something that could, or couldn't be. You'll destroy your relationship with your wife if you continue. You'll start suspecting her of every man within a fifty foot radius. And we can't have that.
Do you trust her? Do you know her? Has there been cheating in the relationship before? If not, then cherish what you have. If so, then perhaps the two of you need some counseling to put some old ghosts to rest. If you can't move past it, then it might be time to move on.
However, if you find out that she is having an affair, then that's a whole different ball of wax. You'll have to decide what is best for the both of you, be it work through this, or get a divorce.
All in all...if you have no proof, talk it out with her, or put your fears to rest until you do have proof.

Good luck, man.

try not to assume so quickly!!! as crazy as that may sound!! but however if you say you are a resonable man ......sit down or go out and spend time with the wifey and talk ..not husband and wife talk but best friend talk remember for better or worse . And if you have trust and honesty (even though the truth hurts) maybe you all can work things out ! but remember you all have love for one another and a child so maybe things can be worked out . wish you the best!!! phatygirl

I think that you should just talk to her about it. Be calm and ask what she thinks about him, and then slowly ask if she is having an affair with him and if she says yes ask what you can do to fix it and make things better between the two of you. If she doesn't tell you anything and you still think that things are not right ask your son to maybe spy on them or ask if he knows anything. Or you could just talk to the pool cleaner guy!

Ask your wife point blank if it is true. Dont be a loser but there must be some other problems in your marriage if she is going after the pool man. Maybe you should try cleaning the pool yourself for a change

Did you have the pool cleaned by this man 7-8 years ago?

I would fire the pool guy and get a DNA test. It is obvious she is using both of you. She wants the lifestyle you provide if she really loved him she would be with him. Don't react until the test results come back!

You can have your own affair(s) without anything to loose. Even if you get caught she wouldn't be able to complain because of what she was doing. As for your son, most likely he's yours. Enjoy the freedom.

Hmmmm? I would get a DNA check without my wife knowing it. Then I would change pool people. Maybe to a nice little Latina...

I would fire him, Just cause there is a conflict of intrest now. If you do not like him he needs to go. See what kind of reaction you get when you ask your wife? Try a camera outside?
