It is the same coffee. Seattles Best is a cheaper version of Starbucks. Starbucks uses the two brands to compete with each other, therefore selling more coffee.

Sorry, but Seattle's Best is a brand FROM Starbucks. It may not say it on the packaging, but it is the original coffee from before Starbucks's popularity.

Honestly both are total crap for coffee. After all the hype about Starbucks I couldn't believe they charged me money for it the first time I tasted it.
They are driving all the small coffee shops out of business and depriving you of real choice. Their corporate policy is to open several stores in a small area, take enough custom to put the small guy out of business and then close all theirs except one or two and move on to the next area. Soon Seattles or Starbucks will be your ONLY choice. Give yourself a treat and try some of the incredible blends available out there - I love the Italian, Swiss or French blends - who knows what may be your favourites.
