I have never heard of it containing blood but if the cows are not properly cared for you can have mucus and other secretions in the milk. As for chocolate it comes from a plant so you do the math plants don't have blood it would have to be the milk itself to be true.

In the US we have truth in labeling laws. All foods must list their contents and nutritional information. There may be food coloring that is derived from blood products but I've never heard of such a thing. If there is an ingredient in your chocolate milk you don't recognize, look it up on the Internet.
(off the container of chocolate milk mix:)
Sugar, cocoa processed with alkali, soy lecithin, salt, carrageenan, artificial flavor, Vitamins and Minerals: Calcium carbonate, ascorbic acid, biotin, zinc oxide, copper gluconate, manganese sulfate, and pyridoxine hydrochloride. Contains Soy

1. As said before, no, cows are not fed chocolate, they can't produce chocolate milk naturally, the chocolate flavor is added afterwards to normal milk 2. It is very common for there to be be small amounts of blood and sometimes pus in milk, due to the way the cows are bred, hormone treatments, and the way the breast milk is extracted.

Sounds like a variation of an urban myth. This link is to Snopes (a website that specializes in cataloging urban legends). Ask the teacher if her or her friend have ever heard of the FDA. They test foods for contamination, don't think it would be possible to miss that.

And they make ketchup from oranges. That is the craziest thing I've ever heard of. Not to be rude, but come on think about it. Chocolate milk gets its color from CHOCOLATE.

Of course not. Anyone caught selling bloody chocolate powder would be arrested. There's no blood in chocolate milk, you can count on it.

The Food & Drug Administration would have a fit if there were blood in milk.
But why don't you email them and ask? www.fda.gov

Ridiculous. All food and food products sold in the US have to pass the USDA inspections. That sounds like one of those stupid urban legends.
That teacher should be reprimanded.
