Must be small and non-biting. Plus, if they shed only a little, tell me!

The best natured and usually healthiest puppies and dogs come from a rescue shelter, provided they have had their shots. They do not cost a lot but you will get so much in return. If you are worried about shedding, get a short haired dog. As far as the biting issue, it just depends on how they are raised. Any dog who has teeth can bite...just do not give them a reason toLOL..........Good Luck with your search.....

I would have to say bichon frise, you know the showdogs, with the cute puffy and furry head! They are very cute white and precious. I own one of these dogs myself. They are hypo-allergenic dogs, and are lovable. Although these dogs are lovable, they need a lot of work brushing and combing out their fur. These dogs take a while to house break, but after you get past that stage they are lovable angels!! What they love the most is sitting in your lap, and sleeping. I completely recomend this kind of breed, plus they are fun and very playful! Good luck with your new dog.

I have a little (2 pound) yorkie mix. He's really mellow and hardly ever barks. I think small mix breed dogs obtained from a reputable breeder make great pets. Shih Tzu mixes are usually very sweet dogs too.

I don't think poodles shed. I have a Chihuahua-terrier cross that doesn't shed. You might leave your name with your local animal shelter and maybe save a little dog's life.
