dido! My hair is pretty wild too. I just decided that if i couldn't tame it, i would make it part of my image. I do crazy things with it. Alot of the time, though, i just leave it be.
I generally put it in a high pony tail when its wet, so that when it dries its moderatly reasonable. But thats all i do. Not worth the effort, all those hair gels and sprays and elastics and 20 minutes of my precious morning and getting upset and worriing if it looks ok...

I use the FrizzEase system by John Frieda. (Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Serum, Hair Relaxer or Curl Spray and Secret Weapon. I got in this little hexagon shaped box at Wal-Mart. Also, when I get out of the shower I towel dry my hair, comb it until there is NO tangles, then use Tizz-No frizz Aussie hair gel and rub it through all my hair, then I use normal or curl enhancing mousse. Then I either let my air dry or I go a step further and use Curl Spray by John Frieda (comes in that hexagonal box). And scrunch.. Then I use just any sort of hairspray and air dry. The next day I use a straightening iron in the morning before school if I don't take a shower. I may sound commercial, but my hair is really thick and frizzy and wild and this stuff really works! Maybe I sound like I think I know everything, I just gave names because I know they work! I hope they help you!

Here's what I'd do. Either wash your hair with conditioner or dilute your shampoo (using conditioner afterwards). Don't brush it, stick to fingercombing or combing with a wide tooth comb. And try putting one or two drops of Jojoba oil or Coconut oil into the length of your damp hair. Then if your hair is long enough, bun or braid it.

if i dont put anything in my hair then its horrible. mine puffs out and gets really frizzy. i use a lot of mousse (Aussie) and anti frizz serum (Jon Frieda) they work pretty well. Gels might work. im not sure though. try a leave in conditioner. im not sure if they will work or not. i know mousse does. your hair might be curly. mine is when i use mousse but your hair probably isnt the same as mine. just try different things and see what works for you. you could also ask a professional.

I would say go to a salon, talk to a stylist. They would know which products and what kind of haircut would look best and keep your hair controlled.
