it didn't say he would kill every creature, it said He would destroy every living thing upon the earth! (good question though, i asked the same recently and did research on it)
and i don't know, they were closer to perfection and closer to adam and eve, not as much pollution and stress i guess

Fish can be killed by any number of things, like a disease, algae, etc. Or God could just command it be so and it would have been so. How the people lived so long was they never had any meat in their diet and it was not that long after the fall of man so the vitality was still there from the garden. Man was never meant to eat flesh but only after the flood was when God said to go ahead as it would cut the life span down as you can read in Genesis 7. Even when he was told to eat flesh meat, he was restricted to the clean animals but was told to leave the unclean ones alone. Many will tell you this was a Jewish law but at the flood, where were the Jews at? There were none as yet. It was just a health law, meant for every man. So many do not abide by it and that is why the life span has gone down so and why there are so many obese people today that are dying faster than those did even 50 years ago. Vegetarians, on the other hand are living an average of 15 years longer than the average meat eater. So what does that tell you? And they are in much better health with fewer cancers, fewer trips to the doctor and hospitals, etc. Pays to go with God's plan.

The bible doesn't say that God killed the fish. They were spared.
The best theory I've heard about how people lived so long had to do with the canopy of water above the atmosphere before the flood.
This layer of water would have blocked UV rays, increased the oxygen and air pressure by about 30%. That would have some major effects on our bodies. Experiments have been done with hyperbaric chambers to test this theory and it was really interesting.
Both of your questions are answered in great detail in a video you can download from www.drdino.com. It's called video #1 "The garden of Eden".
It is very informative and gives you much to think about. It also refutes the answers by people who say the flood didn't happen, it was impossible, too many animals, no evidence, etc.
There's much evidence in this world of a flood. You just have to open your eyes and look.
How do you think we got all those fossils scattered all over the place? The very fact that fossils exist is proof of a flood because things don't petrify unless they're buried in mud. Animals die all the time, but we really don't see many modern day animal fossils. That's because they were'nt buried in the right conditions.
What's really funny is that evolution can't explain the existence of poly strata fossils and soft bodied creatures fossilized. There are even fossils of fish giving birth. That is hard evidence for a rapid burial and not a slow burial over millions of years as they claim.
The bible explains all of the evidence we see very easily. If people don't see evidence for a flood, it's becuase they refuse to see it, not because the evidence doesn't exist.
Check that video out. It will change your life.

During the Patriarchal Period. During the pre-Flood period, the life span approached a thousand years. (Gen. 5:5-29) The people closer to man’s original perfection enjoyed greater longevity than those farther removed from it. After the Flood, the human life span dropped rapidly.
Some have theorized that the year in the times before the Flood was just a month long. However, there is no Scriptural basis for this view. Had the year been a 30-day month, this would mean that Enosh would have become a father before he was eight years old, and others, such as Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared, and Enoch, would have fathered children before they were six years old. (Gen. 5:9, 12, 15, 18, 21) A comparison of Genesis 7:11 with Genesis 8:3, 4 shows that 150 days amounted to five months. The fact that the Bible also mentions the 10th month and, subsequently, one 40-day period and at least two 7-day time periods as passing during this year, indicates the year was 12 months long.—Gen. 8:5, 6, 10, 12-14.

I can easily answer this. It was IMPOSSIBLE for 'god' to have flooded the earth. There isn't enough water in the ground on the earth or in the atmosphere to accomplish this. And there are no traces of any flooding ever happening. There would have been extensive damage done to the earth if this would have been possible.
2nd, it would have been impossible for Noah (who did in fact exist) to put two of every animal on the ark. There are over 70 million different species of animal that inhabit the earth, meaning he would have had to load 50 animals per second onto the ark. Not possible.
For the person who said that Noah didn't exist. He did. He was a trader for the black market and was royalty where he lived. And the 'ark' was a boat that he used to travel for 'business' with the black market. The animals that he had on board were sacrifices to the gods. He didn't worship the God that most people do today.
God never killed the fishies because God isn't real. It's as simple as that. And the bible is just a bunch of over exaggerated crap used to make people think that bad things will happen to them if they don't do what their imaginary friend tells them to. The story of Noah and the Ark was written over 5000 years before Christ and this so called global flood. The Jewish priests knew of this story and thought that it would be a good way to force their beliefs on everyone else. And to get a good laugh.
The people in the bible didn't live for hundreds of years. It's not possible. And if it were they'd be so decrepid and useless like regular old people now.

Remember the reasons for the flood. The flood occured because man had become evil and men lived on earth and not in water. Thus the realm of man was affected, and not the realm of water. Many bacteria, algae and other creatures surely must have survived after the flood. All bacteria that live within our bodies obviously lived on... so, it is not all creatures that died, but those that man was most attached to.
Some of these stories could also be symbolic rather than literal.
God only knows the whole truth.

Fish? Did He kill fish? I thought it was 'everything that has breath in its nostrils.'
There are theories as to why people lived so long-just look them up. Some say the gene pool had not been corrupted enough yet. Some think the atmospheric pressure was higher and oxygen level about double. The average age before the flood was 912 years, after-wards it dropped off rapidly. Look at an early genealogy.

1) he had all the animals on the boat with Noah and the rest of the believers.. because God didn't want to kill the animals.. so not all the creatures were killed and the fish wasn't obviously
2) they lived around 1000 years and that was maybe because they were more healthy more optimistic and ofcource by God's will too

Obviously, the fish couldn't live on the ark - sometimes you just have to apply a little common sense.
The people lived longer naturally in those days. God caused the change.
It sounds like your problem is that you doubt the power of God to do as He pleases.

1)I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish (Genesis 17)
Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. Genesis 20
2)And the Lord said', My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.'" - Genesis 6:3
