it is a mikona dv-8. i cant get onto the site because im using a friends computer. any answers??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't really need software if you can use a card reader. You just take the pictures and when you are ready to unload the image, just access the memory card with a card reader.

often you don't need software for most cameras any more, since you can connect the camera to your computer and at least get the computer to recognize the camera as an external disk drive, then you can basically copy the pictures off the camera to the computer and view them there.

windows xp will recognize most digital cameras, just open the windows explorer and you'll find your camera as an external HD.

Copy all the files and paste them into a directory in your computer.

Go to the store and ask for the software, it should come with your camera when you bought it
