Answerer 1 has a point about not gaining the location of the source of the sound. Transferring the sound to the good ear wouldn't restore that ability. You don't mention if the hearing loss is due to sound canceling ringing or if the hearing is just lost.
If you have the ringing, you may need to consult with a doctor to seek treatment.
Using technology to transfer sound to your good ear would be an overkill solution to your problem. A Doctor will tell you it isn't available and probably won't be available in the future because the easiest and most sensible way to achieve that goal is to turn your head, aiming your better ear at the source of the sound.
Who knows? In the future with robotic micro surgery, there may be a receiver that transmits stimulus to the part of the brain that receives on that side. If so, patients may be able to recover some of the ability to localize sound sources. That's not available now and hearing may be a lower priority to other neurological problems.

Yes, you could probably do that, but why would you? Basically, the type of device you are talking about is probably the size of a hearing aid. You should just get a hearing aid for your bad ear. Ears aren't only used to hear things and understand things. Because the ears are on both sides of your head, they help you locate the direction and location of sounds. If all sound was transferred to your good ear, you wouldn't be able to localize sound as well.

yes it is possible, and yes i will try the device thursday. The cost just to order it and try it is $250.00 non refundable. Insurance is not covering the 2 aids, so if it does work and helps me, the out of pocket cost for me will be approximately $6,600. They do not take a payment plan. You can contact Credit care, but i was told to stay away from them. I guess it's like a loan shark. So, i am going to try it, and if it does help, i will figure out how to pay to own it

Second hand, rusted sheets of corrugated iron being thrown on top of each other as the scrape together, especially if there is some type of grit (like sand) between them. Every part of my body cringes and crawls, when I have heard that excruciating sound.
