there really isn't enough information here to say.....where is the puppy while you are sleeping? does it have a bed or a crate? is it in the room with you or in another room? or outside? if i had to take a guess i would say the puppy isn't feeling totally safe. make the puppy a bed or even get a crate and have a bed in that. try having the bed/crate in the room with you. try putting one of your worn shirts out for the puppy to lay on, it will smell like you. without knowing specifics this is the best i can do for you, good luck and enjoy your puppy!

Puppies are annoying. They are constantly making noise, getting into stuff, pooping and piddling all over the house. Basically just like a little kid.
Puppies are children. They whine when they are bored, hungry, have to go the bathroom, are uncomfortable, afraid, or lonely. Sometimes just for the hell of it.
So here's a few things you can do.
First, make sure the puppy feels comfortable. Feed him before bedtime. He'll have a nice full tummy and feel sleepy. He won't complain about being hungry, either. Put an old T-shirt in the kennel with him. It's soft, so he can lay on it, and it smells like you, so he'll feel safer. (Don't put too much padding in there, or the dog will piddle on it. Don't ask me why).
Make him feel safe. Put him in a crate type kennel close to your bed so he can see you. Solid sides are best. The solid sides and back will make him feel safe, and being able to see you will make him feel both safe and not lonely.
Give him a chew toy to play with in the kennel. Try some different ones out - we use compressed rawhide bones. Cow hooves are also good, but they smell to high heaven. Dogs love pig ears, but they are really, really noisy. Soft rawhide is not a good choice -- the dog can get swallow whole pieces that can block the dogs intestines.
If that doesn't work, I've heard putting a warm water bottle wrapped in a towel with a clock (the old kind that tick tocks) helps - they think they're lying next to mama and the clock is her heatbeat. I don't know if that one works - I've never tried it, just heard about it.
Also, get used to it. They're annoying for about 3-4 months.

Puppies are Puppies. Try giving the puppy a soft chew toy to keep in occupied while you are asleep. Puppies are like small children they crave attention. They also get board easily and must find something to do. Encourage play with quit toys.

LOL a puppy I had would just wail for a long time, high-pitched screams, when he had to sleep in his kennel at night, as if he realized he was alone. Eventually, making the *Shhhh!* sound made him stop. It's hypersonic at the end of it and dogs hate that frequency of noise.
When he got bigger we let him sleep in the living room wherever...

Let the dog get used to being at home and make it it's own little sleep area and let it sleep with so it will realize that this is thier home and there is no other home like it.

Don't worry once your puppy gets used to her/his new home she will be quiet and sleep. That's how my puppy was when we first got her.

Put the puppy in a crate next to your bed so he can see you. Also put something that you have worn in with him. He will be comforted by the smell of his owner.

He's making noise because he's used to being with his mom and siblings. Let him sleep with you for a while or get him some stuffed toys to cuddle with.

give him a hearty stuffed animal or a couple of tube socks with a hot water bottle and a old fashioned ticking alarm clock in it, and he should be just fine, he just misses his mommy
