CHI. it's the best for all types of hair and definately worth the price tag.

HIgh end is the way to go they are more expensive around $150, but worth it. I have thick wavy hair and the only one I found that works is a Chi iron. You can buy them at most salons, or I got mine on ebay for $75.

I have a wavy thick hair too. I got a Wet to Straight iron, but i only use it on my dry hair. It is a Remmington. but it isnt ceramic. Get one that has a larger pad because you hair is thick. Also use serums...they help. like John Frieda's frizz ease

I am a hairstylist and the only ones I will ever own are chi. You can pick them up at the better salons in your area. In my area they go for around 100- 150 depending on the size. The one inch ones are easier to control and don't take near as long as the smaller ones, but the size bigger is a little awkward to use on yourself. There is a warranty on them when purchased new, and there isn't an actual dial for heat settings, its perfect everytime, and heats up super fast.

i would say get 1 in the rang of $100 - $150 so your not getting a cheep one or wasting money on a exspencive 1

the best one out there is from the company CHI

Have you seen microscopic pictures of what heat styled hair looks like. Trust me, it's scary.

This page has a great example. http://www.pg.com/science/haircare/hair_twh_73.htm
